Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 103Jul 23, 2016 6:33 pm Hahaha yes the dogs are loving running through the puddles! Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 105Aug 02, 2016 12:07 am It's a standard design we adapted to suit, we've included a granny flat. Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 106Aug 02, 2016 2:13 pm Has anyone else been stung a with a slab clean, Redink advised us we need to remove the excess sand from our sand pad which was left over from when they dug the sand for the slab foundations. Since we were doing our own site works its our responsibility, wasn't happy but did it during the weekend. Sore back but all done Teresa's Hubby Andrew Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 107Aug 02, 2016 3:21 pm Wow strange, im not sure as we don't do sand slabs and haven't heard of anyone else doing their own site works. You must be feeling sore this week that would have taken some muscle power! Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 108Aug 02, 2016 3:22 pm Just started following your build. Your plan looks great with an amazing alfresco area. We did our own earthworks so had to clean up all the excess sand, etc (lucky we have a bobcat to do it so no sore backs). BTW, your slab looks great! Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 109Aug 02, 2016 3:51 pm nelleebellee Just started following your build. Your plan looks great with an amazing alfresco area. I told Redink they should of explained these finer points a bit better, my site works contractor would of done it but not for a couple of weeks. As our bricks are getting dropped off this week we couldn't wait Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 110Aug 09, 2016 10:13 am A small update we have had our bricks delivered over the last week. Nothing much is happening though as the weather has been quite bad lots of rain, and redink are still trying to finish off another job before they can start on ours. Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 115Aug 21, 2016 7:41 pm Brickies started on Thursday, they got a lot more done than we expected. It's so good to finally see something really happening. We both got out there today to mow the 'lawn' because it was almost waist high, and I didn't want that when the weather starts warming up. The whipper snipper lasted about 10 minutes before it started smoking and the mower got through it all (about 1000 square metres) but will have to go and touch up. So glad the weather held up, looks like we might get 4 days with no rain. Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 118Aug 28, 2016 5:07 pm More bricks are up, it's interesting though they've taken down the back wall from last week so maybe they realised they stuffed something up. Will be taking the measuring tape down next weekend to check everything. You must be thrilled. I always find it strange watching houses being built in WA with no walls etc and just bricks. So different to how we build over here Have they given you a rough timeline for the build? Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 120Aug 28, 2016 10:12 pm Thank you 😊 I know it is completely different to how the eastern states builds. They said Feb but the house in the last stage started last July and were in by end of November so we are hopeful it will be sooner than next year.. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
