We are in the final stages of buying an 1000m lot of land in Cardinia Vic. Currently there is no sewer available to connect too so we have to install septic. We recently found out that there are plans to connect the road the land is on to sewer in the next year or two. We phoned the council today who said that we are able to install a 'temporary' septic system if this is the case and still obtain our COA and connect to the sewer when it becomes available. Does anybody know what exactly this means?
We were thinking perhaps we can use a caravan toilet in the home and then run kitchen, laundry etc through grey water dispersal lines. Is this the only option others can think of?
Thank you
