So sorry- I don’t get notifications for my own thread so it’s only when I happen to stumble in I see posts!
We weren’t able to seal our grout because it was all dirty before we got in. Coral fixed the dark grout by colouring it which apparently acts as a seal also. The entire downstairs is stained and they chipped a tile post handover (plus another one they have to fix ) and the grout colour don’t match. So yeah no point sealing that either.
Regarding the fresh concrete, yep it has small black dots and almost like little pencil lines in it. Took me a while before I realised polishing wasn’t gonna remove them !
Oh that’s terrible about grout but unfortunately not surprising Our tiler hasn’t done the best job especially in edges .... I was trying to wipe off the pencil lines yest on bench 🤣 thank you for replying your house still looks amazing even though it prob doesn’t hold any joy for you
Hi MrsJM and BrownDog77, I desperately need your advice regarding the fresh concrete benchtop! We have had it installed with our build with coral homes and the join line where two slabs meet is really obvious a very shiny line in the sun..... is yours the same? Coral are telling me that that is as good as it will get but caesarstone said they should have used a matt grout so it wasn't shiny and obvious. We are due to have a meeting with Coral and the Stonemason and I want to know what others have so I can stand my ground a little. Thanks [/quote]
I’m so sorry- I don’t get alerts for my thread all the time and I just happened to stumble upon this post.
I don’t have any joins in my Fresh concrete so unfortunately I don’t know how much help I’ll be.
I did have to follow up some stuff with caeserstone- marks on the stone that coral were trying to tell me were part of the pattern, and caeserstone won’t even come look at it as they believe it’s the stone masons issue. Coral have poor standards in general. Get it in writing from caeserstone and send an email to your ss as well as a phone call
