Told my SS that there will be an inspector come with me for the PCI. A bit surprise he is quite OK with that. Will let you know how it goes. They have no choice and they can not be upset about it, as Matt mentioned Kevin is worth every cent, I just wish I would have ask him to come for every single stage. Re: Looking for a PCI inspector at Craigieburn area 9Jul 17, 2008 1:50 pm please keep us updated on your progress. I've also got a block of land up in the Highlands Craigieburn too.
We're expected to start building in Oct and hope to use Kevin's services also. Re: Looking for a PCI inspector at Craigieburn area 10Jul 21, 2008 8:36 am Hello everyone,
We have PCI today, we built the PD Dromana 27. Started on site on 18th March, slab poured on 2nd April. Has happened really quickly, basically 17 weeks to PCI from a patch of dirt. We have had no weather delays, some problems with the slab and the frame, a delay to bathroom tiling due to a wall not being straight enough. Paintwork is not very impressive but other than these things we are relatively happy. Lets see if they can deliver the final product following the inspection today. For the record... Kevin is doing our inspection as well. Will post some photos soon. Regards. Ratter Re: Looking for a PCI inspector at Craigieburn area 11Jul 22, 2008 4:39 pm Hi Guys, Kevin has done the inspection this morning. The result is not "too bad" (No need to pull down the house/any walls). There are quite a few problems. The big one is the garage door. It turns out the garage slab is bit unleveled. Kevin will send through the list to SS on Thursday.
The SS is trying to push me to get the handover done on next Tuesday. But I think with that list of problems, it won't be a good idea for me. The next a few weeks things probably will get bit hard, as I need to make sure they fixed everything on the list in a timely manner. Anyway, thanks a lot for Kevin. He surely is the right man for the job. Highly recommended! Re: Looking for a PCI inspector at Craigieburn area 12Jul 23, 2008 8:24 am Congratulations firstly on getting to your pc inspection. Kevin is definately the right man for the job, he is a master. I hope all goes well with the fix ups. and defoinately don't let them try and rush a handover. They (builders) love trying that on with clients. Stand your ground and get the stuff fixed before handing over that final cheque. Building with Porter Davis since October 2007 - what a nightmare!!! Re: Looking for a PCI inspector at Craigieburn area 13Jul 28, 2008 9:56 am Hi Guys, for you who got Kevin to inspect your home. How long did it take to receive your report? It's been nearly a week and I still haven't got the list. Not sure this is normal with Kevin? I would send it to the certifier who is technically your representative and working on your behalf not the builder's 1 2264 CDC Housing Code 3 When to apply Floor Area external face of wall vs Gross Floor Area internal face of wall.
