But would a cavity slider lock as securely as a standard door, given this is an external entry into your home? We have a garage opening as Yakchat suggested, opening into the garage onto the back wall, garage is 6.1 x 6.2. Cavity security probably wouldn't seal as well and you'd get exhaust fumes into the house. Yeah we thought about a cav slider and all these things steered us away from the idea.
