As a side note: our highlight awning window is (574 mm x 1530 mm). I think this is the key difference. The standard states that the wall has to be waterproofed up to 1800mm. A highlight window should meet this requirement if it's above 1800mm. I'm confirming this with the builder. EDIT: yep, apparently the builder and their building surveyor have said they don't do this.
