Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The Gables in Box Hill 22Aug 12, 2015 6:49 pm Hi Gablesrocks, There were 197 lots(including auction) on first release. You can check the email which was sent on Monday, 10/08. I'm not sure how did you get 132 lots. If there are 302 lots for first release then only 105 lots remaining which includes auction. Re: The Gables in Box Hill 23Aug 12, 2015 6:59 pm Yes, the sales persons are encouraging everyone to take part in auction. This is the trick to push the price up. I have been told from others that there were over hundred people in 20/30 mins. How this possible? Re: The Gables in Box Hill 24Aug 12, 2015 8:52 pm It's definitely not possible unless they told some people in advance or agents leaked info. Only way to be fair is to give another chance to the people who managed to get a priority number for next release. I really hope they change their process. Re: The Gables in Box Hill 25Aug 12, 2015 8:56 pm Hi Joy1, Sorry I just counted maybe I missed some I saw the same too there were plenty of people in a matter of minutes. I got a number though. Re: The Gables in Box Hill 26Aug 12, 2015 8:58 pm CiscoSky, i was told that the price won't go up when people auction. So u bid and chances are others won't bid so you can get what you are looking at from auction? Re: The Gables in Box Hill 27Aug 12, 2015 10:02 pm I hope so gabkerocks. Are you looking to take part in auction? I don't like auction, get nervous. Most of the auction lots are big in size, hence bigger price tag. I'm happy with 450 sqm. You need to have 10% ready to go on the day as well.... Re: The Gables in Box Hill 28Aug 13, 2015 3:51 am Hi CiscoSky, No I am not going to be taking part in the auction. I would say select a few in the category and then go for it. You don't have to have the 10% ready for a week or two until after the paperwork goes to your solicitor. Do bring 1000 dollars though and your solicitors name Re: The Gables in Box Hill 29Aug 13, 2015 12:14 pm @gablesrocks I was looking to buy BoxHill. if you look at the planning, The Gables actually not in the original plan. http://growthcentres.planning.nsw.gov.a ... trial.aspx Re: The Gables in Box Hill 30Aug 13, 2015 12:17 pm SCF, U still looking at buying in box hill? The Gables is above box hill. A lot of release in box hill itself is home and land package isn't it? Re: The Gables in Box Hill 33Aug 13, 2015 12:30 pm You could be right. Who knows what will happen. Some people say the days for cheaper land is over. Re: The Gables in Box Hill 34Aug 14, 2015 9:20 am I still think price is way too much compare to current market. this land due to hand over in next 18month Approx. You can buy a land close to 500SQM in Stonecutters Ridge $485K and land is ready to built by end of this year. Don't believe me - http://www.ulh.com.au/search-results/?l ... erty_type= check this site out. Re: The Gables in Box Hill 35Aug 14, 2015 9:23 am Agreed Rumun, what is the transport system there like? No trains in a 10 minute vicinity? I like living in this part of the world so Box Hill it is for me. The price isn't high for looking at places with infrastructure.
