Today the septic guys were installing our absorption beds and the chippys were doing the last of the skirting now that the floating floor is done. This is the little list I have done but not sure if I have missed anything: Mirrors and screens Bath and Dishwasher Carpet Install Kitchen splashback Outdoor kitchen benchtop and sink WIR fitout Flyscreens Spoke to the SS today and he said everything should be done by the end of next week and we can do the walk through with him early the following week! We are considering using the Arkitek Grey tiles for all the flooring throughout the house, I think they look fantastic in your bathroom / laundry areas but wonder if they would be too much for a whole house - What would your opinion be if you dont mind me asking? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Building Avoca 25 - Coral Homes 165Nov 30, 2015 1:33 pm Gosh tal I haven't logged in for a few days as life has been hectic and look at all your progress, love the flooring it's sensational. I think we have had two days during the whole build (apart from weekends) with no one on site! Spot on with the flooring. I think it was the natural oak wide plank in the classic range from memory Check out my build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79262 Follow my build of the Avoca 25 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79262 Re: Building Avoca 25 - Coral Homes 168Dec 01, 2015 10:18 pm Just a couple more photos I took yesterday of the mirrors and screens and our wir fit out Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Getting so close now. Can't believe how quick everything is coming together! Hey mrsjm Yes did it through coral. Cost us $1382. We just worked with our sales assistant and had it put in our original tender. We can't believe how quick it's been either! Your bathroom is stunning love the tiles!!! We have the same enclosed shower screen, it's great and stops the water going everywhere. Wow the robe fit out is super fancy and a great price through coral. There is so much to be done when moving in it's nice you don't have to worry about the robe great flooring choice I thought it was parador, they hide the dirt so well . The mirrored splash back went in late last week: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The cleaners were in over the weekend and we have our walk through with the ss on Tuesday afternoon!! All I think we have left is: Carpets Fly screen Ensuite mirror is still mia Painting touch ups (there are a lot) A drain to be replaced that was broken Brick wash Council to approve the water connection into the house (there was an issue with how this was done as we did it ourselves with family to save costs as we are 50m back from the road but this has now been corrected) Check out my build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79262 Follow my build of the Avoca 25 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79262 Re: Building Avoca 25 - Coral Homes 178Dec 07, 2015 1:07 pm Wow looks fantastic! Congrats on getting your walk-through date too! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4339 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74701 |
