Re: Building Avoca 25 - Coral Homes 65Oct 03, 2015 7:15 am Hey tribe! It's actually slowed down a little this week. We have gutters and fascia completed. Site supervisor called me on Thursday and said the roof would be done yesterday but we went down to take a look and it wasn't We are very happy with the colour we chose for the gutter though and hopefully roof next week Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Follow my build of the Avoca 25 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79262 Re: Building Avoca 25 - Coral Homes 67Oct 03, 2015 5:30 pm Tribe7 Once they get that roof on it will go super quick. Gutters look great. How long is your driveway going to be it looks huge. Your having a colourbond roof? We are 49m back from the road. Just doing to do some rocks as the driveway for a while (probably a long while!). Yes have gone with colorbond. We have gone for a shale grey roof as well. So excited to see it on! Went down Friday afternoon and no roof. Figured they must have been delayed but that they would be there today. But alas no roofers today. I decided to call the ss who told me he thought they were going to be there Friday and have it done by today. So he told me he would phone them and get back to me. Texted me afterwards to say they had been held up at another job and will be there tomorrow. Slightly peeved about it because when he phoned me on Thursday he was checking where they were up to while on the phone and said to me oh good they are ahead of schedule. The concreters and chippys were so speedy I was just hoping for the same from the roofers. Can't have it all your way I guess! So he sent me an email with a picture of the original ones and then two other options. And it turns out the original one was not the ones we wanted anyway and one of the options were the ones we did! Went back over our variations (as we changed this at the colour appointment) and saw it wasn't mentioned!! So lucky! We wouldn't have been completely devastated if we had received the others but definitely happier with this option! Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14437 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4381 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 76932 |
