Hehehehe I'm hearing you, no more babies. The thought of having anymore makes me panic, there is a family over the paddock from us and they have 7 babes (omg I don't know how the Mum does it) Oh nice work with the sparkie can't argue when you get a better price and everything is pre planned. Progress is going great, so pleased they sorted out your cabinetry issues, annoying they couldn't deal with it sooner but least it's sorted and your moving forward. Pics are looking fab, I love the media room doors, stunning. Painting will make a world of difference. How much land are you on?? We have the same as our land falls away from the house, will you drag the batter out away from the alfresco to make it long and lean or landscape it as a terrace so you can get back to natural ground faster?? What are you doing for your kitchen splash back?? I'm trying to figure out what tiles to go with??? Nice brick hearth too, so handy to have it done in your matching house bricks. I thought of you today when I was looking at real estate, the Denver 47 display home at jimboomba woods is now for sale, the house is absolutely stunning. Here is the link, your so very lucky to be building such a beautiful home. https://m.realestate.com.au/property-ho ... -125049954 Re: Metricon Denver 47 - Cabinetry and painting 242Apr 08, 2017 8:15 pm Emmz70 Gorgeous views and home Bubbly Thanks Emmz! Kill me. 4 is my limit, especially so close together. 5 would undo me. We're on 8717m2, or 2.2 acres. We will extend but drop the next tier, and create some extra entertaining spaces, then step it down to the natural level. Need a lot more fill.... We're going glass in the kitchen and Butler's, so sorry can't help there!! Will be a mid-dark metallic grey to match the back of the island. Brick hearth was a great idea. Cost an extra $250, but I'm kicking myself that I didn't get the sitting room one done too. We have an extra 2.5 pallets of leftover bricks, but I'd have to get in there and get it done pretty quickly, and get some off white mortar... not sure what to do. That display is stunning!! Wonder how ours will compare once complete! It generally they are ok. Yes close together is hard, my little 3 and 5,3 and 2. Oh nice sized land you have, we couldn't find anything that big to fit our budget. You do have a beautiful outlook too. That's a good idea with your levels and creating more living spaces, maybe call up the local builders and tell them you will happily take there fill from any sites they are cutting, pool companies too. We are having a pool at the back alfresco and I'm not sure if we should tier it and landscape or turn into a steep sloping hill with a slide for the kids, am thinking about landscaping it but creating a path and stairs leading back up to a slide. God knows I'm still trying to get my head around pool tile/pavers, who knew that could be so hard. Oh nice the glass with be very swish, I need tiles as I've got two giant picture windows in the kitchen. Am considering a duck egg blue brick bond tile . If the brickie still has the piers to go ask him to do it too for a cashie, if he is fully finished then yeap that's a pain, defiantly move the bricks or they will take them. We had pallets left over too and they took the lot. Yours will be truly amazing once finished. I've been through that display so many times and would of loved to have built it this time but holy hell its expensive for the 47 with luxury inclusions . Re: Metricon Denver 47 - Cabinetry and painting 245Apr 12, 2017 12:31 pm I haven't been back out there this week because our bubba got sick - again - and hospitalised - again. We got discharged last night and I headed out to check on progress today. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We have been painted!! The painter is going to grab some sample pots to make sure Black Caviar is right - we have some black glitter wallpaper going on the inset he needs to match it to. I don't do spiders. Doesn't look much different - the painters didn't work Thursday -Tuesday, and only 1 guy there today. Nothing happened outside either. Spoke with SM today though and he said cabinetry finally going in on Monday, benches the Friday after. Painters should be finished by Friday except for staining. Big week ahead. Amusingly, he asked me what was going on at the house as it was his first day back from Easter today haha. I said the render hadn't been done and he was not impressed, as it was supposed to happen last week. Said he would call him straight after our conversation to sort that out...
