Going home today though, so I'm keen to check out the progress for myself!! SM says windows will be installed tomorrow and bricks delivered. Frame invoice due this week too. Coming along!! Lots of light!! I spy.... bricks!!! Can't wait to get out there tomorrow for a closer look. Haven't seen it with the roof on in person yet!! Our lovely neighbours have been keeping an eye on progress for me. I'm in awe with your progress with that large home of yours. Can't wait for updates Bit of a slow week unfortunately. Only plumbing rough in completed, and whirly birds and solar panels installed. Windows apparently going in today after several weeks delay. Electrical rough in this week too. Insulation, plaster and bricks due next week according to SM. He's aiming for end of April handover, but said plan for May to be safe. Our external doors have been delivered too. We were there on Saturday moving our wood pile for the water tanks delivery, and the garage wrapping had blown off in the wind so they will need to tend to that! Our windows and doors were the very last thing they installed. It was a tad confusing seeing other homes getting them installed first. Eventually they finally went in and it's a good feeling seeing the home slowly coming together After electrical you'll lose track of build with the amount of progress they do in a short period of time. So you'll have plaster soon enough. Today our builders should be doing repair jobs before plasterer starts, same thing tears in wrap, etc, mostly minor fixes that need to be done. I think the hard part is our SM was all gung ho when we first met mid December, and had planned to be locked up with plaster complete by now. We're running about 3 weeks behind his initial schedule, so when I see things sit around for weeks and no one on site for most of the week, it's hard to swallow!! I did have a chat with the SM and he said he could have had the jobs completed by now, but he chooses to wait for his quality trades rather than just throw anyone at the job to complete it quicker, which is some comfort I suppose! I spoke with the sparky this morning, and they are going to be out there tomorrow or Wednesday doing the rough in. We went over a few things they needed clarified, and we are getting them to install our fittings instead of the china hats which is good. I know things will fly along from here, I'm just being impatient! Also a bit strange that we are 9 weeks in with a roof and no frame invoice yet!! I shouldn't complain - less interest to pay haha Building the Denver by Metricon on acreage Land settlement: 24/8/15 Contracts: 8/7/16 Finance approved: 5/8/16 Council approval.....? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79213 Re: Metricon Denver 47 - Frames 213Feb 27, 2017 9:20 am bubblynutter Emmz70 bubblynutter [quote="Emmz70"]How's the progress going your side bubbly. First said they would, then said they would prefer not to as they are "pretty busy". Who turns down extra cash when you are already there anyway?! Anyway, they will be on site tomorrow to complete the rough in. As far as I know that's the last of the jobs scheduled for this week. Bricks start Monday!! Doesn't it! Already noticing a difference in temperature and sound travel, and that's before plaster! Vantage_35 That is one impressive laundry door I know. I'm in love. Wonder if our front door will surpass it as my favourite once it arrives haha Speaking of plaster, ran into our SM this afternoon, who was supervising the plaster delivery!! Says they will work through the weekend to have it all hung, and another guy will come on Monday to "stop" it all? I assume that's joining all the sheets and plugging the holes. He says fixing will be complete by the 22nd and he's trying to get the painter and tiler in before the end of the month. We will have cabinetry within the fortnight!! Time to turn my mind to packing and vacating this rental. Eek!
