Frames all ready to start this coming Monday (40 degrees - I don't want their job!!!) and Tuesday, and roof trusses Wednesday! We now have mains water though so I gave all 13 trees a good drink this morning. Hopefully helps them through the next few days. Boys say they will be finished today, with roof trusses due tomorrow or Monday. First frame up was the kitchen sink window! Will get more pics when I head out there to collect our eldest from his first day of kinder this afternoon. Wall frames are complete, and roof trusses were delivered today. Big week next week - crane scheduled for Tuesday to complete roof trusses, windows being delivered Wednesday. Fascia and gutters will be installed by Friday, which completes the frames stage. The following Monday we will be wrapped, and roofers will arrive! Bricks are booked to be delivered on the 20th, but we are proceeding with a reverse build so rough in will happen prior to that and plaster will commence immediately afterwards, instead of waiting for bricks. Big month ahead! Heading back out there tomorrow so will grab some pics of the completed walls. More concerning is the missing poop pipe in the powder room!! Excellent progress for sure Re: Metricon Denver 47 - Frames 195Feb 06, 2017 7:53 pm I haven't been out to check since Saturday - we welcomed bub #4 yesterday!! My mum drove past and saw the chippies finishing the garage frames and noggins though, despite a very wet start to the morning. Also got a reply from the SM who says the powder room loo pipe is just under the slab, so crisis averted there! Your place is going great guns Emmz! I'm glad crisis was averted. Thank goodness because that huge home needs to continue to progress Always love it when our tradies work through any weather condition. Wow by the time you get to view again, you'll have roof trusses Re: Metricon Denver 47 - Frames 197Feb 15, 2017 3:16 pm You were on the money Emmz! We have roof trusses, gutters, fascia, wrapped, and scaffolding up ready for roofers to start tomorrow!! Spoke with our long suffering chippy who was meant to be well and truly done, but a slack apprentice who refused to turn up 7 days already this year has put him behind, so he will be back on Monday to install windows. Poor guy, it's such a huge house too. Very happy with how it's looking though!! Just slightly disappointed that it has taken 6 weeks of work to get to this point, Christmas excluded. Our last house took 2 to get a roof on. Then somebody over the weekend cleared our site out and swiped all our timber supplies, also our large stacker doors So SM reordering So hopefully we get some action soon Good luck on your speedy progress Re: Metricon Denver 47 - Frames 199Feb 15, 2017 3:51 pm Emmz70 Woohoo that's amazing bubbly You'll soar past my build @ that rate Ours is delayed because our independent inspector found some issues that need to be rectified before we move on (no majors) thank goodness. That's terrible!! There are definitely advantages to building in the middle of nowhere... no one knows you're there!!! We've decided to forgo inspections at this stage, unless I find something that raises my concerns. Our site manager seems fantastic, and on top of everything. I've spoken directly with each trade so far and surreptitiously quizzed them on their background etc, and so far we haven't had any green trades to make me look any closer. I'm hoping to have a good look on the weekend though, ahead of the pre lining inspection. Hope your build speeds up again soon! I have noticed the doubles seem to take a lot longer than the singles, which would drive me crazy! This is bad enough!
