We did exactly the same and built our own, we need to retain on our new block too but we are going to use gabions this time. Will you plant along the back of the wall?? Eshhh your laundry sounds exactly like mine in our rental. It's so hard to even move in there. Your new laundry is amazing, doing washing would actually be enjoyable. (Maybe ) The plan is to have a garden bed in between the two walls, with just a row of magnolia little gems the whole length (I think I worked out I need 13....), with white pebbles laid down. Dead simple but stunning. Also don't want to try and get the ride on up there, hence the pebbles. Our rental laundry is wide enough for the trough, and my dryer sitting on top of the washer. The external door is a slider, but the morons put the slider in so that it opens beside the washer instead of the actual walkway. Smart. Having a bench top to fold everyone's clothes on or even do stain pre treating on will be bliss!! Currently have to take stuff out to the dining table to spray and scrub stains. Then scrub the laundry product over spray off the dining table. Over it!!!! So much happening and so incredibly exciting your so close to keys, thank heavens too your rental laundry sounds like a nightmare. Good god so much crusher dust and it still wasn't enough holy smoke. Sure do. It's a big house. 1 wouldn't provide hot enough water to the whole house, so 1 services the ensuite and the second does the kitchen, laundry, powder, bathroom.
