The survey report mentioned that a 500mm High 30M long Retaining Wall is needed. This is because of slight slope to our secondary street (corner block). I believe Retaining Wall is expensive and also requires approval from the council. Should the Retaining Wall to be arranged by Developer (Stockland) at their cost? Any idea please? Re: Building with ContentLiving at Stockland Calleya 24Nov 24, 2015 12:15 pm I am surprised that Stockland hasn't already put a retaining wall on your block. When i purchased the block it already had retaining wall. You should talk to Stockland about this but now as block is settled i doubt they will do it. is this survey report from CL? Our build - Moved In! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79629 Re: ContentLiving at Stockland Calleya - Land Pic 26Nov 24, 2015 1:22 pm Usually retaining wall is required if blocks are not on same level or there is slope. In our release we had 4-5 blocks with retaining wall but that was all built by Stockland. My block is not corner but you wouldn't want to pay from your pocket regardless of corner block or not. I would also check the contract to see if it has any condition about retaining walls. They don't not care about the site survey report. Not sure how to approach them further..Really disappointing Anybody needed to build Retaining Wall? Re: ContentLiving at Stockland Calleya - Retaining Walls? 28Dec 01, 2015 5:48 pm That is sad! I hope the cost of retaining wall is not too much. Worth checking with your neighbors to see whether they have similar problem. Neighbours may face the same Retaining wall trouble, having slope to the street. I would love to check with neighbours. Not sure about any contacts Re: ContentLiving at Stockland Calleya - Retaining Walls? 31Dec 04, 2015 12:46 pm Hi Quinzzie,
Congratulations! We have visited many display homes and collected few quotes. Every builder is different with spec and price. There will be hiccups; there are pros and cons with every builder. We have very specific requirements and we have also prepared a draft deign. As our design is final so we were able to compare the price and value among the builders (mostly). We think Content-Living offered us the best value for money. Where are you building? My suggestions would be check for every detail for any mistake and surprise. Make sure every item offered is documented for future ref. Site cost can be provisional sum but ask to provide detail price breakdown so that you can compare. We are progressing towards Pre-Start. Our experience is positive so far, but still too early to be sure Good luck! Re: ContentLiving at Stockland Calleya - Retaining Walls? 32Feb 15, 2016 3:23 pm Hows your build progressing? Did you manage to sort out retaining walls issue? We have just wasted 2 months. We just had our Pre-Start. Re: ContentLiving at Stockland Calleya - Retaining Walls? 34Feb 15, 2016 6:31 pm me786 Stockland will not build any retaining wall.
