He said that if you don't you will chip the stone when you remove/replace the stone over the skimmer box unless you're very careful. Might be worth asking about. Thanks Nigel. I don't think ours does but maybe I should ask again - that or get a few spare covers made and store them in the shed! It was a little upgrade but more the colour I had in my head than the standard blue colour they had. Hopefully it doesn't fade.
