So close to the finish line, we'd been given a pre-pci of next Monday but because so many things wouldn't have been done we've asked for a revised date which is currently the 28th. Our biggest concern now is that will the new SM, who we've been told is also the CM, be as open and responsive to all those small adjustments and changes we'd been assured would be made. Have asked for a 30min site hand over meeting with both to try and close out. In other news we have bathroom fixtures fitout today as well as front render being painted and alarm being installed. Schedule also included electrical fitoff for today so looking forward to a big step forward. Interestingly was told yesterday if we want a glass splashback in the kitchen the tile selection board becomes null and void, because they cost the entire home based on the tile board (which makes no sense to me) Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Metricon Glendale 37+ 459May 02, 2017 4:19 pm So we now have our new new SM! He left Metricon back in September and is now back. Having only had a quick phone call, he seems switched on, but time will tell. there's a fair chance some of you guys would have had him as your SM. initials are PS feel free to let me what I might be in for. His initial update was that he's still covering 25+ site as another replacement doesn't start until next week. our ground floor timber flooring has been put in and there's alot still outstanding so lots of traffic over the lovely floor! Needless to say our inspection date of the 5th May (yes Friday!) isn't going to be met. Back to the two week holding patten for us! Some really major issues called out with the quality of the brick works, a whole course of bricks has been missed, there's different number of course on the front facade. As clients we have warnings that any change to selections incurs a $1,500 fee and no changes post construction. I'm looking forward to see how this plays out when the shoes on the other foot. Not like we spend days and weeks making selections and checking paper work. Metricon has totally dropped the ball and have nothing other than smashing through the work to get there final payment as a priority. Love where you live??? Yeah as long as you can live with all the compromises and don't really care about your selections. I'm less than pleased.
