Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our new home in Brisbane's north 21Aug 01, 2015 10:44 am haha yeah "perfect" is hmm.. is that even possible? lol As I mentioned.. I do love the design.. just those couple of issues I thought were worth raising Great move keeping the internet items out of the bedrooms, although you better confiscate phones, tablets and anything else with a wifi connection lol. Wish I done this with my kids. might not have turned out so anti social and hide in bedrooms. Things only seem to happen every couple of weeks on our site too. Re: Our new home in Brisbane's north 32Sep 08, 2015 6:16 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We have a ground level frame! Once done there will be no corner post and everything will just flow out to the alfresco area. Loving it Re: Our new home in Brisbane's north 33Sep 08, 2015 7:52 am Woohoo progress I was the first client to have those doors from DJ back in 2010. The chippie had never seen them and didn't realise they were on plan and framed up a pillar. It's only by luck I went onsite and saw mistake before Brickie started following day! I love corner stackers and the cantilever opening. Must be exciting to finally start walking around rooms and getting a feeling for the size! Re: Our new home in Brisbane's north 34Sep 08, 2015 11:20 am Thanks Mr Bee, yes, very exciting! We have asked for the doors to be extra height too so they should be really nice Re: Our new home in Brisbane's north 35Sep 18, 2015 8:00 am Bjhf Thanks Mr Bee, yes, very exciting! It finally feels like we're reaching the exciting part of seeing all our choices come together. It makes me nervous as I designed the house myself so I haven't had a chance to see a finished display home just like it but I think it will be rewarding at the end Re: Our new home in Brisbane's north 39Sep 21, 2015 9:47 pm I know the feeling bjhf, there is no display of our home either and we chopped the floor plan up to suit our family. You will be pleasantly surprised at how well it will all turn out. I think I spent our whole build on the edge of my chair as I was nervous about how it would turn out. I hope the weather stays dry for you so your roof can go on. Re: Our new home in Brisbane's north 40Nov 17, 2015 11:55 am Well, it has been a long time since I've updated our progress, I'm more than a little slack! Outside is finished and inside is well underway. Cabinetry is in, stairs going in today. Tiling will be next - really looking forward to seeing that come together.
