My builder is not a project builder, so I have been able to get a fixed price quote before paying a cent.. but some builders do it a little different. Re: is a quote for a house build price free 5Jul 25, 2015 2:15 pm awesome thanks for ur help.. yeh i want our hse finished when we move in...lawns..driveway..being our 1st i dont want to muck around doin alot of stuff seperate to the builders or ourselves...thanks for ur help Re: is a quote for a house build price free 6Jul 25, 2015 4:35 pm Sounds like what you want is a turnkey house (This means move in ready), some builders will offer them. You will pay more for things like fencing, landscaping, driveway, etc if you get them done through the builder (due to builder mark up), so just keep the additional cost in mind when your getting your quotes. Some prices builders gave me: Driveway - $1200 - Carlisle homes Boundary Fencing - $3000 - SJD homes Landscaping - $4000 - SJD homes Just remember, if you have to take out a higher loan to cover the cost of these things, you will also pay interest on the higher loan amount, whereas if you pay for them with cash after your house is build it will cost you less But do what you need to do. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
