Browse Forums Building A New House Re: HGWA build in Burns Beach 22Sep 15, 2015 10:54 pm Thanks Nat! I think we may get there! I'm feeling hopeful! I'm sure they can sort everything in the next 8 weeks! There's Literally not much else we need To finalise. Just hope the team can push everything through! Will keep everyone updated when we hear anything! Mon Re: HGWA build in Burns Beach 23Sep 30, 2015 9:14 am Hi everyone- I have 2 questions- does anyone know if home group can tint the front door?? We are looking at the full panel glass Door but I'm not keen on it being clear glass- would tint be extra or is it Something we"ll have to do after handover? Also- with your bathrooms- have you done both bathrooms in similar shades or completely different? I'm wanting to do grey and white colours throughout and my husband wants to do a bathroom in a cream/beige and I feel like his taste in things isn't leaning towards my "ultra Modern" theme and it'll look odd having a random beige colour bathroom amongst the grey colour scheme?? Help! Mon Re: HGWA build in Burns Beach 28Oct 05, 2015 1:45 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ What's everyone's thoughts on floor to ceiling tiles in the above colour? The mosaic feature on one wall in the shower? Then probably a white benchtop with cupboard in a colour to match the tile? Do you think it will be ok? This is for our ensuite hopefully? Any feedback would be great! We are considering a different mosaic tile- just waiting on confirmation from European ceramics. Mon Re: HGWA build in Burns Beach 30Oct 05, 2015 3:29 pm If your happy I'd go with it. We are doing floor to ceiling in a dark charcoal with a walnut bench and cupboard colour . I prefer darker colors so love your choice Re: HGWA build in Burns Beach 33Oct 05, 2015 9:45 pm So I think we're going to lock in the above for the ensuite- floor to ceiling with one shower wall having the feature mosaic. Then this for the second bathroom. Do you think the below mosaic matches? I'm still unsure? But the cupboards will be identical with the "wood look" I'm just stressing out as I told home group they were 400x400 tiles but they are 450x450 and they almost said no to us because of the fall towards the drain. I hope the extra 50mm doesn't impact too much! Mon Re: HGWA build in Burns Beach 38Oct 13, 2015 9:19 pm Following your build! If it makes you feel any better, there are 2 of the same house on our street (albeit not next door but 2 houses down from each other) and with their render colours/gardens etc they look very different. Hopefully you can find out some details to make sure you haven't both made the same selections. HGWA build in Burns Beach 40Oct 13, 2015 9:40 pm Got some good news today- they're going to change our elevation!! Should have a few choices by the end of the week. They will have to re issue our docs again, but I feel so much better. I barely slept last night. And we got a pot plant delivered from home group today,
fingers crossed this is the last hurdle we have to overcome before we get the long awaited Slab Mon This certainly doesn't look good.
