I've not thought about that for during the build but only for around PCI time. Hmmmm.... food for thought. But now we're keen as a again! I noticed the small pipe was looseish through a foam block in the slab, but wasn't sure if it was mean to be like this or not... Maybe it is just a pipe to mark the location?? And not the actual waste pipe. Looks like it was just marking location, builder has cut all the pipes down to slab level, and removed that one completely but left the polystyrene block in. Re: Smart Homes - The Mentor (brickies started) 54Apr 22, 2016 8:29 am Yay! Very exciting Matt and Erin! You'll be hard pressed not to drive by each day to check on the progress. I've had to be really disciplined not to go check on our build too regularly! Exciting times ahead!! Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Smart Homes - The Mentor (brickies started) 57Apr 22, 2016 11:22 pm Thanks everyone! Erin went down today and met the brickies, 3 of them, 2 skilled and an apprentice. - top notch work too, he take lots of pride in it... Erin found a few of the face bricks with chips out of their corners, she asked and the brickie was happy for her to mark them and he was going to swap them out. Apparently he's the same brickie that they get to do all their display homes, and he's built himself recently so knows how much it all costs and understands that we won't settle for less than perfect Tamdear, I know what you mean. I'm itching to go have a look tomorrow. We currently rent SOR near riverton, and my office is NOR in Osborne park.... Our block is about an extra 15-20m away from home, so there's no chance of me "popping by" after work as by the time I get home, it's almost dark and time to cook dinner.... Not unless I pull an early shift. Erin on the other hand works in Cockburn, so it's just down the road after work... So she's popping in every 3 days or so. The brickies are doing really well, about 3/4 done, we had a site meeting with our SS on Friday, and he thinks they'll be done by tues/wed with roof supplies delivered on Thurs.
