But your idea doesn't sound bad. Would be better if you had a few pictures of the different colourbond colours you are talking about.. I know surfmist is white and I think dune is.. grey/brown? I think the surfmist door can work, though I'd consider doing the front door in white as well. Part of the reason it works is that the window coverings are usually white to the outside, so you get some white in the windows as well. Your door is also half of the front of the house, so has a presence all in itself anyhow. There are differing views on how a roof edge should look, but I prefer the gutter to match the roof, and the facia to be contrasting. This is because I think of the roof as wrapping over the house, and being a thin and more elegant structure. Some people like gutter, facia and roof to be all the same. This keeps the roof reaching to the edge, but makes the roof look like a thicker and more solid structure. Then there's the school of thought that has the gutter contrasting with the roof. This gives more of a parapet look, where the vertical structures dominate, and probably gives more of a sense of strength in walls. Hey.
