Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 18, 2015 10:17 pm Guess its time to start a thread as when we started our hunt for our house we didn't find anything on this forum about Valeco Homes. We are so glad we did though.
We started our journey September 2014 last year looking for a house to build in Gold Coast. We wanted something Rural but close to Robina Shopping Centre lol so we found land in Varsity Heights which is in Reedy Creek Gold Coast Our land we purchased is a 600m2 block which we believe is not too bad in size as we didn't want a pool. It is quite level with a fall of only 1m slope. The land is just days away from settling but was meant to settle early January. Due to weather this was not possible. We started off getting quotes from Plantation Homes and we liked what we saw in their display. We were almost going to go with Plantation Homes but when we asked if the items and features on display was standard they were saying thats an upgrade and thats an upgrade. It kinda scared us to not give a deposit as we didn't know what we were kinda getting. We then went out to Yarrabilba Display as my sister said come check out my dream house so we did. the guy there was very helpful and said they do full turn key. We asked him many questions about the display but the main question we asked that got us to give our deposit is "What is included in this full turn key package" and the answer "What you see is what you get" We then did a walkthrough with him and asked if that was included etc and everytime he said yes! We liked how they do the full turn key package and we decided to go with the Kalbarri 37 which is the display house at yarrabilba. My wife fell in love with the main bedroom balcony which she will convert into a dance floor room as she teaches dance. We couldn't afford at the time the timber windows so we decided that we would take it out. they gave us a full turn key package and now we are waiting for the land to settle. When we gave our deposit in September alot has happened in 10 months. Slowly we have been adding extra upgrades to the house. Some upgrades are: Triple Garage Alfresco extension to laundry Dimmable lights Automatic garage lights Extended pergola Fans in all bedrooms and alfresco Extra Height Pivot Door Led Upgrade to lights Miele Appliances Rain Shower Ceiling mounted Shower Niches Bin Drawer to Kitchen I have attached pictures of what my house looks like so far. We also are waiting on a quote for deck extension from bedroom 3 & 4 that is 2.5 meters wide by 10 meters long. This deck can only be accessed through these rooms. I will post once i recieve quote and pictures.
