Just waiting on the tiling to be finished.. It's been taking a while due to rain and Xmas break etc.. Re: About to break ground in Springfield Lakes - The Sanctua 107Jan 12, 2016 9:58 am DIY. it was quite difficult. You really need to have the right tools and patience for it. We attempted it before Xmas but my hubby got frustrated and ended up smashing one of the panels so we ordered another one and left it for a few weeks then got his uncle to help and they spent almost the entire weekend installing it. Looks great tho, but yeah we won't be rushing to do that again in a hurry hahaha About to break ground in Springfield Lakes - The Sanctuary 108Jan 12, 2016 12:01 pm Wow that's an awesome effort to install yourselves, I can imagine it would be rather hard. Think we might out source that one. Good on you both for sticking with it and getting it done Question; which pool company did you go with and what are your pools measurements? Re: About to break ground in Springfield Lakes - The Sanctua 109Jan 12, 2016 10:16 pm Pool company is barrier reef pools, they're really good. Pool size is the Venice 10.5 x 4.5. We love the pool, it's a beautiful colour and sparkles in the sunlight lol is royal ocean colour Re: About to break ground in Springfield Lakes - The Sanctua 111Jan 19, 2016 2:01 pm It's the same pool as we're getting. Has to swing outwards because it opens into pool area, nightmare! In total we bought two lots of hinges and THREE!!!! Latches lol everything in packaging so couldnt see all components and two of them had stupid one way latches so annoying! Pool looks stunning of a night time . Roll on Wednesday for turf your kiddies will love it so much. I did giggle about the latches, I think we have a few things in the garage from battles like that Re: About to break ground in Springfield Lakes - The Sanctua 114Feb 01, 2016 9:18 pm Hahaha yeah every time without fail this sort of thing happens. We even ended up with multiple HDMI cables because hubby didn't realise 1m wouldn't be long enough to feed thru the conduits lol I simply cannot wait for grass! Been standing in my sons room looking out the window at the house across the road that had landscaping done a few weeks ago.. Their grass is lush and green.. I'm so jealous hahaha next time landscaping will most definitely be included in the contract price! Re: About to break ground in Springfield Lakes - The Sanctua 115Feb 03, 2016 10:36 am Woohoo!! Re: About to break ground in Springfield Lakes - The Sanctua 117Feb 04, 2016 7:02 pm Question... who is responsible for storm water run off via the concrete retaining wall put in by lend lease?? is it the person at the top of the retaining wall who needs to ensure there is proper drainage in their back yard or is it the person at the bottom to ensure there is adequate drainage at the bottom to catch any run off??? neighbours are having a cry about all the water in their YET TO BE COMPLETED build... where currently their storm water drain pipes are sitting approx 4 inches ABOVE GROUND LEVEL and all our water run off is causing their property to flood... telling us we need to have drains down that side of the house.. but we have drains on the other side of the house (where we are at the bottom of another retaining wall, with about 4 different properties all conjoining onto a part of it)... so we have allowed for their run off.. we havent gone over and demanded they put drains in to stop the water from running down through the dirt and out the side of the retaining wall....
