I was so excited to see your thread! you guys look like a younger couple which is great because my husband and I are first time builders in our late 20's!! I started my own thread too but we are in the early stages (after having nearly 3 month set back with our previous builder!) but we have just signed up with Fairmont. our sales rep is excellent! I cant wait to start the selections process although I am sure its stressful. I am super worried about the house not "flowing" as far as colour etc goes! Anyway just wanted to say "Hi" and have loved reading and looking through your thread. Good luck with the final stages Re: First Home - Vogue - Seaford Heights SA -*NEW PICS PAGE 171Feb 22, 2016 11:26 am 1stTimeBuild 16 Hi Damien & Lanni. We are building at Devon Park (near Brompton/Dudley park area) We have had the land since November and we signed up to a builder but they have let us down so so much so we looked into another couple of builders and chose Fairmont Re: First Home - Vogue - Seaford Heights SA -*NEW PICS PAGE 173Feb 22, 2016 11:39 am First Home - Fairmont Homes - Vogue - Seaford Heights Vista - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78691 Re: First Home - Vogue - Seaford Heights SA -*NEW PICS PAGE 174Feb 22, 2016 11:43 am 1stTimeBuild 16 Thanks for the reply! So many negatives....started off positively but went down hill quickly. So exciting for you to receive your handover letter! Your build process seemed to run fairly smoothly How did you go with your footings price ? was it much different to what they had allowed for ? Your build process seemed to run fairly smoothly How did you go with your footings price ? was it much different to what they had allowed for ? Yea its been pretty smooth the only negative with Fairmont is their build time, there's been other homes that started 4-6 weeks after us that have already been handed over. As for footings Fairmont gave us a $17,000 allowance and they came in at $16500 First Home - Fairmont Homes - Vogue - Seaford Heights Vista - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78691 Re: First Home - Vogue - Seaford Heights SA -*NEW PICS PAGE 177Feb 22, 2016 1:03 pm And that was for down at Seaford Heights?! That's pretty good. The other builder were trying to charge us 26.5k for a 152square metre house!!! Fairmont laughed saying they quote up houses in Athelstone/ingle farm where the soil is so so bad and they are not even that much. I guess time will tell though. I don't want to get to ahead of myself. Did you guys have to wait long to get into directs or supreme? Nah I think direct and Supreme only took about 3-4 weeks to get in for our appointments First Home - Fairmont Homes - Vogue - Seaford Heights Vista - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78691 Re: First Home - Vogue - Seaford Heights SA -*NEW PICS PAGE 179Feb 22, 2016 1:34 pm Oh wow.
