Our cavity sliders cost $275 and $125 if replacing a normal door so those figures seem outrageous!

But in that time we have selected everything for coral (won't let us formally select it yet but) don't know why we are waiting on a new tender letter as this one has mistakes, the only big changes we made was put a cavity slider into the lounge and into the activity and we put the sink under the kitchen window to give us extra bench space and we also changed our front beam and back beam to be timber as we saved money and we also want to after hand over extend our patio, We have also added batts and waiting on a price for battens (dads request we get these) Where are u upto? Hi Taylalivo, If you don't mind me asking has coral told you the cost to add the cavity slider to the lounge & activity? We have done the same however were told we couldn't have a cavity slider on the lounge as its a load bearing wall We are also looking at the cost of adding the extra bench space in the kitchen under the window.. Was this quite a large cost? The only real change we have made to our plans other than the above is we have extended the alfresco up to just past the external laundry door Challenge their call. They don't know what they are doing half the time. I should have known what we were in for waaaay back in 2014 when the draftsman said it wasn't physically possible to ever have a window splashback behind a kitchen bench. Since then this delightful draftsman had proved how incompetent he/she is time and time again. Challenge every decision! You will find that waaaaay more is possible than they first tell you! Thanks MrsJM, I absolutely will be challenging their decision re the door. They also would not have the gas meter installed like we requested as we are not having them supply gas appliances (this is also something we are challenging!) some things seem a little bit like they just put it into the too hard basket without actually looking into it.[/quote] Oh my GOD!! There you go!!! I stripped all of my appliances out of the contract and they are installing my appliances including an induction cooktop... No gas appliances but they are installing the gas metre and gas bayonets. Far out this company is so inconsistent! Our tender reads "we note the owner request for gas meter however we are unable to supply due to no gas appliances being installed" not happy at all. That's interesting ours is a load bearing wall too I'm more than happy to give you prices on anything just ask KITCHEN So for us to move the kitchen sink under the window and have cupboards there we got credited $64 Because the window changes from a 21-09 to a 12-15 then to provide 1200MM of additional A style bench including splashback tiling(600mm wide laminated cabinets including 20MM think Stone bench top was $983 We deleted our Microwave space and got a credit of $249 CAVITY SLIDERS ACTIVITY - 2040MM High X 1200MM Wide flush cavity slider to activity room $648 LOUNGE - 2040MM High X 1200MM Wide flush cavity slider to Lounge room $622 I don't know why there is a price difference? We are also extending our alfresco but after hand over as my partner is a concreter and uncle is a builder so will be easy enough to extend, We also put timber posts in the front and back (if u know what I mean instead of brick and saved $713 Are you having a sliding glass door or hinged door to your laundry? Just checked our tender letter and the cavity slider to the activity is $284. I'd definately be questioning why so expensive Taylalivo! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4338 |
