Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 14, 2015 10:29 pm Hi everyone! We've just started the process of building with Rawson a Metford 28 (with a study modification) in Forestville. The selection process has been fun (so far) but the brick selection is driving me nuts. I want a dark brick like the display at Gledswood hills Display but its the top of the range upgrade and I would rather spend that money elsewhere. I decided on the Austral Orpheus as an alternative but then got told we need to have exposure grade bricks for our area and got limited to a handful. I've narrowed it down to the Austral wilderness Range (in particular the Blackbutt with an off white mortar)...but its a new brick so there doesn't appear to be many photos out there on the internet. Does anyone have any photo's they can show me of what the different wilderness bricks look like? Thanks! Re: Brick selection - Austral Wilderness Range 2Jul 14, 2015 10:43 pm We are looking at using the wilderness blackbutt. There are only three that have been built in it so far up here in Newcastle and none in the other two colours. It looked good on one we drove past but I need to go back in better light. Re: Brick selection - Austral Wilderness Range 3Jul 16, 2015 10:27 pm We have ended up selecting the PGH Espresso - it has a bit more variation in it compared to Austral's wilderness range, which we also looked at. But that's because we like the variation in colour, plus we also like the hint of blue that's in the Espresso bricks Building a customised Metford 33 with Rawson Homes in Canberra Build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76866 Blog: https://canberragalsmetford.wordpress.com/ Hi Kaiser85, We are building with Firstyle Homes.
