Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First home - Adelaide 202Oct 24, 2015 3:41 pm Good work, looking great. Pendants are nice hard to tell the scale/size personally don't go too small. Re: First home - Adelaide 204Oct 24, 2015 5:06 pm nice penguin to hold our lights YES the bigger one on left definitely. LOVELY! You must be super happy Re: First home - Adelaide 205Oct 24, 2015 8:01 pm Classic!! - Definitely the bigger one - I would even go double the size of the big one. Look at Ikea they have lovely big white lights. Re: First home - Adelaide 209Oct 28, 2015 4:06 pm Tribe7 Which pendant did you choose s2? I laughed at the penguin that's classic Ohhh wow flooring looks beautiful love it. We have to scotia too and I haven't painted ours. I thought the penguin was cute haha I ended getting two of the larger pendant shown. Love the floors but definitely need to paint as it stand out quite a bit compared to the wall colour and flooring. The tradie suggested I get myself a little paint brush and paint away while have a glass of wine. Lol thought that might be too messy! Re: First home - Adelaide 210Oct 28, 2015 6:42 pm Hi! Beautiful floors! Stalking, errr following your thread. Is the scotia board the same as your flooring? Our is and I think I'm used to seeing it now. Hahhahah oh heck that's a bad combo, drinks and painting don't equal steady hands Re: First home - Adelaide 212Oct 28, 2015 8:09 pm Floor looks lovely - I would leave the beading for a bit you may not be bothered later (I think it looks okay) and painting it is not the most fun job in the world - wine or not wine The other option if you do decide to go down paint path is give it a light white wash which will be very easy and blend with floor. Re: First home - Adelaide 214Oct 28, 2015 9:13 pm I'll see how I go but I think I will definitely be painting the scotia board to match the skirting. The wood they used has quite an orangey colour to it and really stands out in person. It'll be my first hands on job in the house so I'm a bit excited to do a little painting actually haha Re: First home - Adelaide 215Oct 28, 2015 9:44 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Went to look at my sofa colour again today.. It's definitely going to be a feature of the open kitchen, dining & family room ! Lol Found these dining chairs that I will probably go with. Any suggestions where the best place to look for cushions in these colours? I need a combination of both for the sofa to tie the room together nicely Re: First home - Adelaide 219Oct 29, 2015 7:38 pm Well done!! Cushions - well you must ask the master.....Tribe!! Adairs is lovely but then online zanui, hardtofind, ebay (really cheap lovely designs) and of course aliexpress - and lightinthe box. Re: First home - Adelaide 220Oct 29, 2015 9:25 pm Looks FANTASTIC!!!! Great work. Yes I went jade/minty colours for my (quirky collection of) cushions. All from aliexpress and LightInTheBox. I think I posted my last haul on my thread. I bought two AMAZING green ones (not as bizarre) on the weekend from a quirky little designer next to Cherry Darlings vegan bake house :yumYUM: :dribble:  in Forestviile on tramline. So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point.
