The floor tiles have been laid in the wet areas! I'm so excited!
Does this mean I'm almost at handover?

They've got painting lined up after the tiling is complete! Cabinetry is in, cornices, etc. No light switches and such as yet and flooring I'm having installed after handover (as they won't let me have someone in to do it before). You will have a plumbing fit out with toilets and tapware, your air con will go in, electrical fit out, all door handles will be installed, screens to windows (if you selected them) and a clean, not sure what else off the top of my head. It guess it depends on how fast your site supervisor organizes the trades. Have you asked when your practical completion might be? Getting closer though that's for sure. Agree with Tom cat a pic through the window is good Re: First home - Adelaide 28Aug 02, 2015 3:56 pm Tribe7 s2dttn Tribe7 Depends on which order they are working s2dttn Have they painted yet? Agree with Tom cat a pic through the window is good Aww so I went to my lot today and discovered that the wrong wall tiles have been put up! I can't see the bench tops in the bathrooms but I'm worried they're wrong too as I had upgraded/change the wall tiles and bench tops a the same time. Re: First home - Adelaide 29Aug 02, 2015 4:06 pm You've got to be pretty tough to not let the numerous stuff-ups and poor workmanship get you down eh? Trick is to try and stay positive with your interactions with the builder. Good communication is critical, otherwise it's all downhill into a sewerpit fast. Take a deep breath, put on a smile, then give em a call Now I have to take my own advice! Thanks TomCat - they have been good and addressed all the other errors I've raised previously so I'm sure they'll get this fixed too. I was just excited about possibly having the house finished earlier but I'm sure this will cause some delays now? Either way I just can't wait for it to be finished and be able to move in! Do you have any suggestions on what pendant lights would go well with this combination of colours/style? I was thinking this pendant in white but I'm not sure if it's the right style (the copper top might be too much?). I'm planning on having two pendant lights over the breakfast bar.
