Are Dales doing carpets, flooring and painting? Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - white set comple 263May 27, 2016 9:41 pm spuddles76 WOOHOO love it Me too! Just got home and Mr W2T showed me the other pictures he took (the ones I posted he sent to me while I was at work). All the cabinets are there, I'm looking forward to seeing the colours in real life Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - white set comple 264May 27, 2016 9:48 pm MrsMaccaPacca Yay! We are neck and neck again! Are Dales doing carpets, flooring and painting? Nope, or paving, we deleted it all as we will do aggregate ourselves. I made a list and there's not really heaps more to do: Cabinets and bench tops Plumbing Tiling - this is probably the biggest job Painting to be finished (elevation) Electrical and appliances Then all the bits and pieces jobs like mirrors, door handles, robes, garage doors, HWS, Intelligent homes box, fly screens, shower screens, mirrors, towel rails, glazing bars, insulation, etc Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - white set comple 265May 27, 2016 10:42 pm Same for us. So keys in about 6 weeks? Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - white set comple 266May 27, 2016 11:06 pm Nah I reckon more like 8-10. When we met our SS at brick work meeting, he said 6 weeks from tiles - but I can't remember if that was for PCI or handover. We were think August but somewhat hopeful we may slide in July. Which means I need to get a serious move on organising all our post handover pre moving in trades. Have you been given a time frame? Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - white set comple 267May 28, 2016 12:22 am Our SS said 8 weeks from lock-up! So by my calculation that's in about 6 weeks - eeeek! My tile meeting is next week and I'm organising a few trades to come out to give quotes. Wardrobe people are booked in. Just have to decide on blinds people. No idea who to go through though. And need to book in the polished concrete guy. Lots of organising, but I love it! It will have cupboards over it as well, and over the fridge recess next to it. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Looking in from the side window towards the living room. Landscaping Plan - have initiated contact with Outside In in Como, I like their work. We have a fair idea of what we want, but need a professional eye to take it to the next level. We want the landscaping plan first as although we won't be doing a lot of the works for a while (can't afford pool until next year) we need to know exactly where the driveway and paths etc are going to go. Exposed Aggregate driveway, porch and front path. Air conditioning. I want the aggregate done first as we will need a pad at the side of the house where the AC unit will sit. I have a couple of quotes from when we did the mortgage application, need to revisit for the best price. Painting - reluctantly, due to budget constraints this will be a DIY job. Mr W2T has a significant sum of Bunnings vouchers saved up to purchase the supplies and I will organise pizza and beer as a bribe to get his mates onboard to help! Flooring - need to pay the remainder of our 30% deposit to Trevors to book in the ordering and laying. We are having Elka Light Brown Oak laminate to everywhere except the theatre. Theatre is some snazzy plush carpet in dark grey. Skirting Boards, I have a quote from Skirting Boards WA for 140mm lambs tongue - need to pay 30% deposit to lock it in. Window treatments - We had a great experience with 1300 decor and blinds in Jandakot when looking for quotes so are going with them for plantation shutters to the bedrooms and living areas, plus roller blinds for the kitchen etc. Likely, due to budget constraints again, we will get the shutters to the bedrooms done first and perhaps the blinds a bit later on. I'm a bit undecided on the blinds anyway so gives us opportunity to live in the house before committing to something. Fencing - the developer does this so have put in application. They also provide a basic front landscaping package - grass, plants, retic - we want the retic and grass not necessarily the plants so will tie this into what landscaper draws up. Other things we want to do are seal the concrete floor of the garage and seal the tiles in the wet areas so they don't go manky, any ideas on how/what we use to do this? Yep! I think it was part of a promotional package. Prob could have saved money doing it ourselves but I'm glad it's already organised to be honest! Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - cabinets going i 277May 30, 2016 10:52 pm Omg!! I so love your kitchen!! I really wish I had of noted to have all my handles horizontal rather than vertical on the doors. But it's not the end of the world Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - cabinets going i 279May 31, 2016 10:28 am Robina Also love your kitchen so much storage. You'll have to buy more things to go in the cupboards. Don't tempt me! The end of year sales emails have started to come in this morning, 20% off at West Elm if you spend over $500, 40% my favourite Royal Doulton at David Jones; a shame I'm broke at the moment! Did my mad woman dance across the sandy block again this morning, the tradies must think I'm a nutter tip toeing my way through the rubble in my heels and work clothes!
