Looks really good especially with the garage doors down. The doors down is usually a good indicator that they're practically done... what else still needs to be done? Not much! Painting needs to be finished, little things like tops of drain pipes to match gutters. The fixing carpenter needs to take a visit to his door handles, towel rails all that sort of thing. Silicone to wet areas, but this may have been done as a plumber must have been there today swapping out the tap. Then just a clean and the maintenance stuff. Fencing on all sides! The men seem to be doing a few houses in the street so that's great. Still need to work out what we're going to do to block off the dead side. We have a dog so need to do it soonish. Worst case scenario we can temporary block off the side until we work it out. The elevation is painted now, I'm not sure about it. In my mind it was going to be "whiter" hmm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Power box has gone! Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - on the final str 411Jul 20, 2016 1:20 pm Morning everyone, bit more of an update this week. This all happened a few days ago but I tore a calf muscle on the weekend so have been off my feet. Firstly the fences have been finished, get more of an idea of our garden size now. We still need the fixing carpenter, silicone around the wet areas, and then just some maintenancey stuff. No PCI date yet, I'm hopeful we might get told next week. Have got Some quotes for security doors, one guy went out to measure and his quote looks ok. The other took longer to get back to me and the quote looks a bit like they've plucked numbers out thin air - not going with them! The first mob, Beards security have two products, Xceed (perforated aluminium) and Secureview which is 316 SS. About $700 price difference over 3 doors so we think we might go the cheaper - rapidly running out of funds here - anyone have experience with either? Also have some aircon quotes, we got 3 last year, including from air and water and ford and doonan. A+W were really comprehensive which has kinda helped when the others have come back as it's very visual with images of all the units/vents/controls. We are leaning towards a local guy now though, he installs and repairs and has quoted a Mistubishi Heavy Industries system which he recommends based on experience. Anyone have a Mistubishi one? His quote was also about $1000 under our next lowest quote, which gives us a bit of room to install upgraded vents, some whirly birds etc. part of the cost factor is that the control system is more basic, but especially working from home I'm sure I can walk over to the control panel rather than using my phone to do it! So lucky. We aren't having phone control on our AC either. We are also home a lot. I also love the colour of your fences wish we didn't have creamy ones. Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - on the final str 413Jul 20, 2016 7:13 pm Thanks Robina, it may not be as big by the time we have the pool in! But not bad, and certainly bigger than what we had on our cottage block Agree that the fence colour is quite agreeable, this is our third house with it (we don't leave the estate!) and it blends in to everything. Have started/continued our shopping lists as we're getting closer, and as I always share it, here's our living room inspiration and choices. This may take a while as I'm swapping between computer and photo bucket and tapatalk on my phone and we're going out for tea! Here are some inspiration pics, starting with, my fave, the Dales' Wisteria Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Oswald Homes Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Unknown from Pinterest Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ 1 comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm into this picture ledge trend so some pictures including that Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And another gorgeous display, the Aston I by Dale Alcock Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Now to throw a spanner in the works, I think I want to change our flooring colour. I think this is a closer match to our wet areas cabinetry, and will give a more consistent look through the house. They are both lovely though Building with Simonds in S.A Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - on the final str 416Jul 20, 2016 11:07 pm I've done my calf muscle before, it's not nice! You have a nice amount of space there, love it. Love those picture ledges!! And I love the darker floor Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - on the final str 417Jul 20, 2016 11:57 pm Love the colour of the 1st flooring choice. Personally i think it goes better with the colour of the lighter laminate. But colours in photos can be deceiving Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - on the final str 418Jul 21, 2016 1:52 am On the home stretch now! Always love your inspiration pics and think a few of them are my saves on Pinterest. Also prefer the first and your original option, from the photo it looks more natural looking and warmer and I think it's more important to tone in with kitchen colours rather than wet areas which will have tiles and not the wood? Whatever you choose I sure your home is good Ng to look just gorgeous and am enjoying following along Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - on the final str 419Jul 21, 2016 9:52 am I also have quite a few of your pictures saved on Pinterest. I like both of the floor coverings but prefer the warmer brown. You have fantastic taste. I love your design ideas. Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - on the final str 420Jul 22, 2016 10:44 pm Oh goodness I'm leaning back to the lighter one again - thanks for your input everyone, it helps to have a few more opinions! I never finished off my posts the other night, but here are some of our actual choices to go in the new living room. As with everywhere else we will have kitty grey walls, white shutters on the two skinny windows either side of the TV, and a grey sheer over the stacker door. Whilst we have an elderly dribbly dog, and a 4 year old messy child, we are keeping our old brown couches. Eventually I'll replace these with something in a nice light grey. We also used to have a dark wood coffee table, but I'm going to replace it with this one from IKEA (featured in one of the inspiration rooms) I love that you can display things in the drawer compartments under the glass tabletop. The gap between our two windows, where the TV will go, is quite skinny, only 1300mm wide, so I need a skinny low cabinet to go under the TV. Perhaps something like this cupboard from the corner store. I'm into lamps, and another one on my wish list is this one from Beacon. I love the blue and white moroccan vibe. More blue and white, here are some cushions - I have the bottom left one already, from West Elm, gorgeous! And I have this bottom left one too, this one is all velvety - divine. As above, loving the photo ledge trend, IKEA has some shelves, I'm thinking of getting some mix and match white frames, and throwing in this copper one I bought from kmart a while ago. The copper thing seems to have somewhat passed, but I started buying copper accents 2 years ago when it was right on trend The little dish is one of the trinkety type objects that will be displayed in my coffee table. Lastly, Darren Palmer from the Block says you should bring life into every room, I love indoor plants! I have been eyeing up this gorgeous planter from West Elm forever, would love to pop a big Monstera in it, in front of the corner window - have discovered BIG W have a great indoor plant section.
