I feel for you, hopefully they come through for you much sooner. Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Land Title Issue 62Dec 07, 2015 12:13 pm Gosh that sucks The waiting game is so hard isn't it! Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Land Settled 63Dec 10, 2015 11:28 pm Hi there. Sorry to hear about the delays... Just discovered this forum and looking to build with dales. Look forward to following your journey. Hopefully smooth sailing soon. Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Land Settled 64Dec 12, 2015 6:10 pm While we are waiting for construction to start, here are some pretty things we have decided on for the interior design. Ironically the rooms I have nearly finished organising (spare room, kids rooms, study), are probably the least priority to get finished - isn't that always the way?! Our daughter is a mature 7 and loves all things lego and Disney. The inspiration for her new bedroom, is this beautiful shoe ornament we found on a trip to Disneyland Paris last year. The whole collection of shoes is amazing, but Princess Jasmine's was her favourite. We have the same oak flooring in the bedrooms as the rest of the house, and soft grey walls. We are sticking to white furniture with turquoise blues, purples and gold accents. In theme with Jasmine/Aladdin we have a few moroccan elements in this room too. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We recently upgraded her to a double bed, and I'm trying to get this Marrakesh bedhead from Zanui - I was too slow last time it came back in stock, so it sold out again before I could buy! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We have this duvet cover from Kmart - thanks to TBrown2012 for finding it originally! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This cushion and some white euro pillows will make her bed extra cosy (the pillow is coming in her xmas stocking!) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Her bedside table has a slightly unfinished French provincial look to it Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I love this light from Masters we bought yesterday, we left the bayonet fittings in the kids rooms with the intent to replace them with something nicer - this just fits straight over the existing fitting - easy! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also yesterday, this shelving unit from the Land of Nod in the USA arrived. I ummed and ahhed for a couple of years of buying the kids one of these each - purely because the shipping was so so so expensive (and in USD!) However it is exactly what I wanted to show off all their trinkets, and keep them safe - need somewhere for the Jasmine shoe ornament to be displayed! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ To tie everything together I have bought some maroq lights, and will order a felt ball garland in similar colours to below. You are clearly a design extraordinaire with those beautiful pieces! They are going to come together to make one amazing bedroom and a little girl very happy! I have a 7 year old and she would love that! Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Int Design bedro 66Dec 12, 2015 6:59 pm That sounds amazing! What a lucky girl Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Int Design bedro 67Dec 13, 2015 4:13 pm Our son is 3 and a half and a big cars fan. His room will have the same flooring and paint as all the others, with red coloured and cars themed accessories. To start with he has this headboard which he stores his books and teddies etc in. We got it from ikea years ago and covered the red parts with pink wallpaper to match our daughter's old room. He inherited it when she moved into a bigger bed, and now the red underneath is perfect to match Lightning McQueen! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ He has a Lightning McQueen duvet cover from Spotlight Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And of course a soft Lightning. There is a story behind this guy, we bought him in London before going to the Rainforest Cafe - a themed restaurant that has animatronic elephants and lions and other jungle animals all throughout it. Every 10 minutes or so they all make their noises and it gets really loud. Our young man was so tired out he slept through the whole meal using Lightning as a pillow! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The same shelves as we got for daughter but in grey just arrived Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and three ledges for his collection of die cast cars to go on (ok some of them I kinda underestimated how many would fit!) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm going to order this set of Cars 2 movie posters from eBay for him and a round red ottoman (similar to this) I stumbled across at a recent Celebration Homes display home furniture sale - perfect! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So I think our little man should love his new room and when he outgrows Cars we can easily change the themed items and the colour to suit whatever he becomes obsessed with next. I have a feeling it's ninja turtles! Cant wait to see your plans for the rest of the house Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Int Design bedro 70Dec 14, 2015 10:50 pm Thanks for your lovely comments I love choosing things for the new house, usually by online shopping when I am meant to be working Our spare room is already half filled with boxes I packed up from the old place and won't open until they are in their permanent home, I had to give it a tidy up today as we have a rent inspection later in the week (ugh can't wait to not have these anymore) and discovered things I'd forgotten about - it's going to be like Christmas unpacking!! I had a phone call today from our CL, she advised our submission for Shire Approval will be lodged before the Christmas shutdown on the 23rd, hopefully we will get it approved early January. I think we are waiting on an energy rating certificate at the moment and our water corp submission will be done soon too. Her call was followed up by the Sales Manager, our Sales Consultant has left the company, so he called to discuss a couple of things around our delay - primarily that our fixed price hold has well and truly expired. We are working with the developer to minimise this as the delay was well out of our control. Fingers crossed! Fingers crossed everything gets approved early Jan so you can start to see it all come to life Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Int Design bedro 72Dec 17, 2015 11:26 pm Thanks Jelbell - I'm dead envious of your place - the floors!! Itching to get started on ours. Spoke to our CL today, she said they were about to submit to the Shire, something about it going to an independent mob first? They've got 5 working days to their bit and then the Shire get it and have 2 weeks to finish their part. She was also doing our application with the water corp - maybe maybe maybe we'll get a tap before Christmas. Should be good to go early - mid January though. We also had some good news in our site works costs getting fixed from their original provisional sums, we got a credit - YAY - although we are still negotiating with the developer in relation to our increased costs in construction due to their delay. Anyway, more nice stuff, my plans for the guest bedroom: I call this my Laura Ashley room - probably sums it up! I work above the Laura Ashley shop in Perth and quite often get tempted in As the guest room we want it to have quite a grown up, Hamptons, luxurious holiday feel to it. No black in this room, mostly whites and blues on the same background of grey with the oak floor. The bedroom suite is one I bought years ago, similar to the below (no dressing table) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The duvet cover I have for it is this one from Laura Ashley, and a faux fur throw from Freedom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This LA lamp and clock for the bedsides, I love pineapples and also have a pineapple theme running through the house. Going on the shopping list! She draws everything from Chanel bags to Champagne to flowers and jewellery. This one is perfumes, which I particularly love having had a previous career in the cosmetics industry.
