Domestic blindness perhaps? Congrats on the slab! That's a really nice looking slab you got there! and you were so lucky to get to be there when they were pouring the concrete, it must be very exciting! ( I work full time so by the time I drove pass after work the slab was already there, it's exciting but am sure being there watching it happening IS different experience). Wow I am in love with your kitchen! Not a good cook myself but won't mind one like yours to cook in. And you are so good with the colours and those little stuffs that make a room so full of joy! Your kids are lucky to have you to plan for their bedrooms. If you talent is available for rent, I may need some help down the track I don't know how to follow a build in PC but I will subscribe yours on Tapatalk. Look forward to seeing more of your build! I tend to only look at the structural (details/issues) offer advice and assist where I can. Your ratio of photos is typical may I suggest more of the structural details (rebar) and less of the guys pouring the concrete and no photos eating pie.. Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Slabbed! 115Feb 02, 2016 4:31 pm Thanks kait-e, ak11, Robina, ColleyCrew and Mrs MP! It's a great feeling having it there. We took some family down on Sunday with a bottle of champagne, had a glass each and it was great to show them where everything on our paper plan will actually be Teresa, I normally work full time too, I had a few days off last week for the end of the school holidays - it was really good timing they laid it when I was off! We live really close though so I can pop by on my way to or from work. My husband starts early in the morning and finishes at 2.30pm so I imagine he will be down their regularly actually meeting with the SS or tradies if he needs to. If you want to talk design stuff later - pick me, pick me! I love it Thanks Structural BIM Guy (I think) You're welcome to follow along if you like, however as pretty much everyone following my thread is building themselves, the photos I post on here will be broader shots to show progress and the pretty details. We are lucky to be in a position to engage with the people building our home, and I want to share that. Whilst we have taken many many more photos for our own reference, I'm pretty sure most people aren't interested in photos of corners or pipes or concrete. I know what I have found useful in this forum has been people's plans, specifications, time lines, ideas and experiences, and I've seen some great advice when people have encountered problems. If we need it, I'll be sure to shout out. We are lucky to be in a position to engage with the people building our home, and I want to share that. I couldn't agree more Wellard2ndTimers Whilst we have taken many many more photos for our own reference, I'm pretty sure most people aren't interested in photos of corners or pipes or concrete. Hmmm. That's until (if?) something goes wrong later on?, as a Structural Engineer that does repairs I see it all the time onsite and on Social Media, there's no party pies just clients with mixed emotions. Wellard2ndTimers I know what I have found useful in this forum has been people's plans, specifications, time lines, ideas and experiences, and I've seen some great advice when people have encountered problems. If I can offer some useful advice, as an engineer, and that is not to focus too much on Fluff during the construction stage. Wellard2ndTimers If we need it, I'll be sure to shout out.
