Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 20, 2014 3:59 pm Hello all, We are looking at building a semi custom home (for a knock down rebuild) and have come across Botanic Homes. Does anyone have any experience with this builder? Or can point me in the direction of discussion threads / blogs that share this info? We are also looking closely at Carter Grange - there seems to be more blogs around on Carter Grange so it is easier to find detail on those builds. Thanks Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 3May 08, 2014 12:32 pm WifeofHunza Hello all, We are looking at building a semi custom home (for a knock down rebuild) and have come across Botanic Homes. Thanks We are currently building with Botanic Homes. We have just completed the knock down and the rebuild is at lower frame stage. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding the process. So far, so good Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 4May 09, 2014 10:42 am Hi ally501 Thank you for your reply. So great to hear so far so good for you. We are going to book our design appointment with Botanic for about 2 months time as we are not starting the build until mid next year so at this stage it feels we have plenty of time...... I am sure it will sneak up on us though. If you don't mind me asking ..... What made you decide to use Botanic for your knock down rebuild? We are in the Ivanhoe area - where are you building, any hints with approaching the councils as I believe that Botanic do not do this on your behalf? How long has it taken to go from design to start etc etc? Feel free to PM me if you prefer. sorry for all the questions & Thanks Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 5May 28, 2014 4:24 pm WifeofHunza Hi ally501 Thank you for your reply. They are a fantastic company, he has gone over the moon and back to make us choosing them the easiest decision ever. has met with us 4 times now to look at our land before we bought it, show us a home at frame stage and then take us to a ladies house he just built! talk about effort. We cant wait to start with them 100% trust Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 6Jul 25, 2014 10:13 pm Hi All, just posted the same question about Botanic Homes and got this thread, happy to hear that, we are building in Balwyn North , will see Steve Harris next week to start design and inclusion meeting, just simply thing that they are a small builder so we will be treated not just like another number as most of big volume builders do , however I worry about their contractor capacity, can they finish their construction as guarantee ? they offer 8 months for a double storey house plus about 4 months paper work, please keep us update of your building going on with Botanic Homes. Good luck all of us! We have just paid the fixing stage, yesterday. They will deliver as promised. Amazing quality, we are blown away by the speed and finishes. Good luck with your build. Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 8Jul 26, 2014 10:50 pm Hi ally5401, Good to hear about your building going well, thanks for sharing the information. I saw their double storey displayed houses today at Cranbourne East and Pakeham, the Attitude 4S and Andara 4S , not really beautiful houses, I talked to the sale manager and really want to have better house designs when we come in the next meeting ,which house are you building with them ? Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 9Aug 05, 2014 12:19 pm Ours is a custom build, loosely based on the Andara 4S, not currently on display. We also have a flat roof design. Unless they have recently built another display; the house displayed in Pakenham (Officer) is the Atlantis. They were very open to adjusting house plans to our specifications. Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 10Nov 11, 2014 8:38 pm Hi Ally5401 how are you going with Botanic Homes ? is your new house in lock stage now ? I worked with another big builder and now get stuck , want to come back Botanic Home, I am more than happy to hear any update on your building. Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 12May 10, 2016 7:25 am That is not good to hear. I hope you are not building with them if that is the case. Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 13May 11, 2016 3:15 pm We were really heart broken to hear they have gone into liquidation, after building an amazing home with them and having a seamless experience, we arent sure what happened or why but we were really devastated as everyone there was so fantastic ! Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 14May 17, 2016 10:32 am Not feeling "broken hearted" for Botanic Homes I'm afraid. I work for a creditor owed over $300,000 - he'll be last to be paid after administrator fees & staff entitlements. Directors authorised more orders from contractors knowing they were going under. My sympathies lie with the poor home owners who have made payments and now have a partly built house. Re: Botanic Homes - any feedback ? 15May 29, 2016 9:36 pm Another Builder gone bust. How does this happen? As mentioned above traddies get screwed and at this stage the home owners have got nothing but a mortgage on a partially finished house they can't get access. On top of that the family we know are also paying rent and seriously concerned how long they can last. It's disgusting that we listen to the adds saying 'is your builder a master builder'? it's a shame that just because you're a MB doesn't mean that you can manage a business dealing with peoples life savings and then mis-manage it down the toilet. Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 14360 |
