Our Hollywood III with Highbury Homes

My husband and I have been living in his grandma's house for the past 6 years. It was always our intentions of demolishing and rebuilding but we hadn't found the right place. In November 2014 we stumbled across the Hollywood III from Highbury Homes and immediately fell in love with it.

After reading other stories we have thought we'd keep track of our time lines and experiences to help future readers with their build with Highbury.

November 2014 - found the Hollywood III

December 2014 - tinkered around with the design to fit on our block. We have a huge frontage of 28m so we needed to widen and only 26m deep had to shift forward and move rooms a little.

March 2015 - signed initial PPA

April 2015 - first Kior designer meeting for external selections

May 2015 - signed our contract documents

June 2015 - after 3 weeks wait for the bank finally got loan unconditionally approved. Seriously though no issues with our loan just bank took their time with the remortgage of the initial bank loan.

2 July 2015 - second Kior interior design meeting took us 1 hour rather than the 4 hours allocated. Helps to have your ideas ready otherwise you'll waste your time there. Great thing about the remaining hours we didn't use with Kior is we can use them later for things like paint furniture etc.

10 July 2015 - PRESTART!! Exhausting but we're able to choose everything we wanted.

14 July 2015 - waiting for adenda contract

September - Demolition of our home.

November - Site works

December - Hit limestone rocks
but quickly removed and SLAB DOWN!!

January - Bricks up to plate height

February - Roof on, but no tiles yet, power points put.

11 March 2016 - Roof tiles turned up, water and gas lines installed.

30 March 2016 - Roof tiling completed, versilux in alfresco and portico done

31st March 2016 - Grey walling started

4th April 2016 - Grey wall completed

6th April 2016 - Ceiling delivered with cornices

3rd May 2016 - Doors delivered and installed

12th May 2016 - Kitchen & bathroom cabinets installed

16th May 2016 - Bar installed & essa stone bench tops installed

25th May 2016 - Water proof layer in bathrooms in preparation for tiling

Posting to follow, that floorplan is a really nice one.
Alfresco roof is on yay!!

Tiles have also turned up - can't believe there are so many!

And we have a tap, water and gas connected!

Wow moving quick, you are going to have a nice size yard as well. Nice alfresco ceiling
Scaffolding is still up in these pictures but is down as of yesterday - waiting for the next invoice which should hopefully come today and they can get more scheduling done

Rendering complete

Just a few photos for update

Looking good! When do you think you will have handover?

They said August but not much more to be done so we think mid July.
