Love it, that's pretty much how ours will look apart from our tower upper cupboards are going to be online with the rest of the overheads. Re: Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney South West) 529Jul 04, 2016 10:44 pm Umm, you would think M would reduce the bulkheads so the cupboards sit flush with the glass splashback. Our one is the same as Vista's plan.. If I measure from the bulkhead then our cupboards (which is 720mm height) would probably come down flush to the glass if I allow about 20mm for the plasterboard (ie at the 740mm mark in the photo). As long as the cubboards doesnt overhang into the glass window then im ok with it. Our cupboards are 720mm height. Thanks for the pics Phoenix rose, your cupboards are perfect!!!! My cupboards are similar to Rose, we have a slight over hang, not 40mm. viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney South West) 533Jul 05, 2016 8:08 pm Oh no! The 686 window takes into account the windows frames ( top and bottom). So the glass part is actually only 600mm. The window frames are around 40mm each - so roughly 80mm for the frames. If you add one frame with the window then it's around 640mm (which is where the top cupboards will meet). @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney South West) 535Jul 05, 2016 8:13 pm Orpheus M and T Oh no! Let's hope they build the walls properly to specification it should look like this (bottom window frame exposed but top window frame is covered by cupboard). I find that my first coat of paint does not cover walls to skirting or cornices. There is a gap of about 2 inches without paint as the painters are painting using a roller only. When we asked SM, he said that's what first coats are like. Re: Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney South West) 540Jul 06, 2016 9:46 pm KKPP Hi Rose, when you raise issues with your SS, does he take notes. Hi KP! When we find a big issue we usually text our SM. We havent had a walk through with him lately so we will be asking him for one soon so we can raise all our issues with the house (we have a lot ! ). Last time we did a walk through, he did note down what we were saying.
