I've been advised our handover is looking more like end of September! Re: Balmoral in Sydney 83Aug 03, 2015 11:44 am Oh no. Why is that? All the major things have been completed. Re: Balmoral in Sydney 84Aug 03, 2015 11:48 am Carpenters, painters and brickies tied up to other jobs? Last week, job scheduled as per SS advice was undercoating the house. When i check last weekend, only the rooms upstairs and half the leisure had undercoat for the ceiling and walls. The rest of the house has not been touched. Re: Balmoral in Sydney 85Aug 03, 2015 11:51 am oh no thats disappointing! there is just so much construction going on! Rawson are definitely getting a lot of business, we went to Kellyville yesterday and all 4 display homes now have sales people in them (I'm sure it was just 2 before) Re: Balmoral in Sydney 86Aug 03, 2015 12:08 pm Very disappointing indeed. But i also don't want them to rush and get further disappointed. Balmoral in Sydney 87Aug 03, 2015 5:02 pm Balmoral in Sydney 88Aug 03, 2015 5:39 pm The external brick wall ledges are strange. Does the standard plan have Windows there? The ceiling height in there is awesome. Looks about 2.5m-3m high! I'd be putting in some storage above the door as a mezzanine level. So much room to work with there! Re: Balmoral in Sydney 89Aug 03, 2015 6:05 pm Re: Balmoral in Sydney 90Aug 03, 2015 8:43 pm Hi Abe. Any chance of getting a floor plan in full? You've got me interested as the display didn't look like this. At least from my memory. Also, how did you go with the alfresco brick edging? Re: Balmoral in Sydney 91Aug 04, 2015 2:13 pm Steve, I will fight tooth and nail to get the alfresco brick edging covered Re: Balmoral in Sydney 92Aug 04, 2015 2:34 pm Hi Calvin & Steve! I've been following this thread for quite some time; we are building The Huntley with Rawson Homes. A quick question to Calvin: we have exactly the same drawing on our plan for the left side of the garage wall. I didn't know what it means until I saw your photo with the wall ledges like that. Do you know whether Rawson would leave the internal brick wall exposed or cover it up with gyprock? I would much prefer them to gyprock it... Re: Balmoral in Sydney 93Aug 04, 2015 2:45 pm They will leave that side of the internal brick wall as is. Re: Balmoral in Sydney 94Aug 04, 2015 3:02 pm Hey Calvin... quick question when you're visiting your place, do you arranging it through your SS or do you just tell the contractors on site? At what stage did you start visiting your place? I'm up to the brick stage and haven't been inside yet but keen to have a look around... sick of peeking over the fence all the time Re: Balmoral in Sydney 95Aug 04, 2015 3:33 pm Yey! They're digging the trench to put our gas line in! I'm up to the brick stage and haven't been inside yet but keen to have a look around... sick of peeking over the fence all the time We have been visiting every progress claim payment with SS. I try to drop by every so often when i get our mail. I also let SS know I'm at the site when they still have scaffolds on as it is really a safety issue. Now that they are in the final stage, i just kindly ask the contractors if i can have a quick look inside. Re: Balmoral in Sydney 97Aug 04, 2015 4:33 pm Sounds good... I'll be having a chat with my SS soon. Your most recent pics looks great! Coming along nicely. Re: Balmoral in Sydney 98Aug 04, 2015 4:52 pm Thanks for your response, Calvin! You're house is looking really good. Love all the feature niches & the dropped ceiling in the kitchen May I ask what Taubmans colour you used on your wall? Re: Balmoral in Sydney 100Aug 04, 2015 5:02 pm MorningStar Haha ... just realising it's only the undercoat! Yes it's just the undercoat windy beach is our choice for the colour of our walls Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size. My custom builder standard is 350mm with rendering, but i asked for 470mm plus stone or tiles and yet to get… 0 7497 traditional gable roof facade - Have you did the dark and light gray color combination in facade with gray stone in facade… 0 4214 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering.
