Browse Forums Building A New House Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 41Oct 23, 2015 10:14 pm I don't think we will have any issues, I am up there every day and usually manage to run into the SS a couple of times a week, anything that I have picked up that I wasn't sure of he has had fixed straight away. We also did an informal PCI With him last week and he had a list of things to fix so when we go to official PCI it will all be done and we should be able to get the keys! I have had no complaints about way they have built the house, it's been a great first build for us with no major issues. Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 42Oct 23, 2015 10:26 pm Thats awesome! You must be over the moon to of had such a smooth first build Fingers crossed mine goes just as well My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 43Oct 23, 2015 10:32 pm I think ours is all down to our supervisor, it's made a world of difference. Hopefully you get a supervisor who doesn't have a problem with you being there a lot hahahaha My topic thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=20#p1316378 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 44Oct 23, 2015 10:46 pm Hahaha they better get used to it pretty damn quick as I'll be there 2-3 times a week! My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 45Oct 23, 2015 10:56 pm Hahaha im there 2-3 times a day! I only live in Singleton though so I don't have to travel far. I still think the most exciting part was the brickwork, I loved watching that all come together Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 46Oct 23, 2015 11:13 pm Lol I'm just in meadow springs so i may end up there a lot more than i think! Yeah i think the brickwork will be the best because you can see it all coming together and get a feel for the size of all the rooms etc. Not sure what occupied my mind before all this house stuff! Seems to be all i think about these days. Hahaha My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 47Oct 24, 2015 12:35 am So it should. It's one of th most expensive and important things in your life for a long time to come, and for the first time ever (if you are a first home buyer) you can do anything you want to it! I am still obsessed with my build and there isn't anything happening now lol, I'm just waiting for the garage door and that's pretty much it! You will probably see us out the front a lot when we move in, just wave and say hello! My topic thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=20#p1316378 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 48Oct 24, 2015 12:48 am Yep very true and the obsession just comes with the territory! I certainly dont want to look back on this and wish i had done this and changed that and blah blah blah so I'm aiming to get as much right the first time around as possible You're actually on the complete opposite side of the estate to me! Haha no doubt I'll venture over and say hi at some stage though My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 49Oct 24, 2015 8:11 pm You would think choosing tiles would be simple right? WRONG...I've changed again! hahahaha Main floor tiling will now be Nature Birch (the lighter grey) and alfresco will be Nature Basalt The photos dont do them justice, but they do look really nice and I now feel satisfied with all my choices before heading into prestart! lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ adult photo sharing My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 50Oct 25, 2015 9:22 pm You will probably change your mind multiple times even when it's too late hahaha, My Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=210#p1384949 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 51Oct 26, 2015 12:14 pm Love those two colours Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 52Oct 27, 2015 7:28 pm Thanks MaccaPacca! I think it looks pretty good and my Partner Tilly got a kick out of the dinosaur!! Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 56Oct 27, 2015 11:20 pm Hahahaha I wish I had that before my feature wall drama! My topic thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=20#p1316378 Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 57Oct 28, 2015 9:38 am Good Luck for prestart!! Re: FHBD - The Vista estate, Singleton (PRESTART BOOKED 28/1 58Oct 28, 2015 8:20 pm Prestart's all done and dusted! Took around 2 hours and I've got most of the things I wanted and dont feel like I missed anything. lol I did have to change my feature blade wall colour to Monument as they wont do any colours outside the solver range but still happy with it. The only thing I was disappointed about was not been able to do square set or shadow line cornices in the living areas...I was hoping it wasnt going to break the bank but all she said was it will be BIG $$$ and tbh they didnt seem very interested in doing it so I left it at that. Not the end of the world though! Also made a last minute decision to paint the HT ceiling and kitchen bulkhead woodland grey so lets hope it turns out as good as I hope! hahaha Power points were a little pricey at $70 for a double but most of the other items seemed reasonable. Should have the quote back in a day or two and then it'll be onto drawing up final plans, builders approval and then scheduling!!! You can always change the colour of the blade wall later, hahaha, you can trust me on that one. Power points were one of the things I did not want to do later so added as many as I could where I could. But others would prefer to spend the money elsewhere, it's really a personal choice though.
