Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 03, 2015 7:28 pm I am so annoyed with myself for two reasons 1.) our front window is a plain square standard window not the two rectangle ones like I had expected ( in original plans I looked at on builders website ) but silly me didn't check on the actual plans when we signed off I just totally spaced and just assumed and 2.) our WIR and ensuite don't have separate doors - the WIR leads into the ensuite it's too late to change without outlaying at least $1500 and going back through council planning - what's everyones opinions on the WIR leading into ensuite ? I just am so annoyed I hadn't picked up on it as I looked at the plans 100 times Or does anyone else have any similar stories that will make me feel better ? Thanks everyone Re: ensuite and WIR opinions 2Jul 04, 2015 3:16 pm Walk in robe leading to the bathroom worked quite well for us. Re: ensuite and WIR opinions 3Jul 04, 2015 3:29 pm We have WIR to ensuite and we love it because it makes it discreet (i.e. they are both in the corner and when the door is shut, you won't even know its there). And as per above, it is convenient to go to the bathroom and then get ready right beside it! Changes that we did are: - ensuite had swinging door --> we changed that to sliding door to save space - WIR didn't have any door --> we put sliding door to shut the mess of the WIR. Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6118 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11799 |
