I'm still convinced that we got majorly ripped off, would be good to compare. Considering how much we had to pay to remove the doors in extra waterproofing etc, I'm a bit disappointed that we have the metal strip across the opening. TIA. You got a bargain with your concrete benches. Out was $700 with only 20mm waterfall edges. Might have to question that. How much did you pay for the handless draws/ cupboards? I really don't like our handles and I am hoping the cabinet maker will change them for us. For handless cudboards and this will answer yours too mrsjm. We got the hettich "kaduna" handless handles in lieu of standard. Cost was $340. We had like 15 drawers to do. Plus cusboard or two. Hope that helps. Re: Coral homes build custom design Noosa23 143Sep 22, 2015 8:58 am Mellywil You have the same bathroom tiles as us, but yours look a lot darker. I guess lighting makes a huge difference. Its funny how lighting changes colour especially outside with roof and walls. Our tender says $1350 for all base cabinets and drawers. I think we have maybe 11 banks of drawers but that's still huge compared to your pricing... Might challenge them at my colour apt! Thanks for checking that out! That does sound high but I truly have no idea how they price things some things I asked for were priced insanely high others I was amazed how much lower the price was. So I think it all evened out in the end, paid over for some and got a good deal on others, I hope anyway. In regards to your electrical I read a post or so you put up, electrician depending but you can do lots of it on site, can be a bit of a risk but I took it, and so did daydream above and hell it paid off. Re: Coral homes build custom design Noosa23 148Sep 22, 2015 10:08 pm Ha ha love it! To be honest the last 14 weeks have been a bit of a blur with babies and moving house. Pretty settled. House is looking good, no issues really. Nursery is still work in progress. Garage is still full of crap to be sorted out but we're getting there. All the shutters and blinds are done and look great. Had to bite the bullet and replace the wire fence at the back with 1.8m timber fence as the dogs kept finding holes and escaping. They then decided to dig under the timber fence to get out so we've had to attached wire gutter guard to the bottom of the fence and dig it into the ground - seems to have worked so far! Our yard was half an acre of sand and dust when we moved in but the grass is slowly growing with lots of weeding and feeding. Exciting to have your walk through next week. Bet you're so glad you're nearing the end of your build! Pleased the gamble with the sparky paid off too. Certainly saved us a lot of money. Escape artist dogs eh Yes sparky was another good tip bit of a gamble but luckily paid off like yours. It was quite funny I met him and he said "so you have a couple of changes" and I handed him my handcrafted electrical plan and he goes "right" Re: Coral homes build custom design Noosa23 150Sep 23, 2015 2:02 pm Went by today cleaners were cleaning (my kids walked in shower which was wet and put wet footprints through bathrooms . Stove still to go in they just need to cut stone a tad more for it to fit. Painters need another coat on downpipes, door handles need to go on and I think thats it that I could see. Very exciting everyone seems to be getting close now. Can't wait to have walk through. Got some snaps for people to see. God love the bath and shower head so big, kids were like WOW our current plastic bath is more like a sink and I wont even mention our dribble leaking shower head. Excitement all around.
