Don't think so Orph, gives it a nice accent in my view.

Hmm, I think the white silicone is much brighter in real life than in photos.

Still deciding if we should change to light grey

Finally all taps are install....

Those blue stickers means the doors need replacing as they need new soft close hinges/drawers.

Hi,
I have been watching for a while, you have a very nice house coming together. What colour grout was used for your tiles?

Hey Ssjo, thanks.

We chose natural grey grout colour to match the grey tiles. I would expect the silicone to be grey too.....

Hey Ssjo, thanks.

We chose cement grey (#113) grout colour to match the grey tiles. I would expect the silicone to be grey too.....

I agree with you and you are the one paying to build the house. If the grout was white then its fair enough. Unless the silicone default colour is white and you were not told you can change this colour. I do feel metricon aren't the best at telling you about all your choices. It look nice but a matching grout colour would make it a 10/10 ...sorry

I agree!

Selleys have these colours for silicone. I think light grey or dark grey is suitable?

The white silicon looks fine to me

The white silicone looks ok but after seeing mine with the grey matching the grout I think it's a better option! I'd be asking for that to be changed too.

The question that needs to be asked is ......can you look passed it or is it going to eat you up? If you can look past it - its silicone and it looks fine and does its job.
Or you can ask to change it

Thanks for the suggestions peeps.

Unfortunately I am a perfectionist so everything has to be exactly as I designed. The silicone will have to be redone

Hey orph, your bathrooms are lovely and I probably wouldn't have noticed the silicone, but I think you'll be happier with a grey. The colour that my cabinet makers (I stress mine, not Coral's) put on my vanity and stone splash was a grey and matches so well, it's hardly noticeable. I can imagine if it was stark white, like you, I'd want it changed. It's those little things that make it special. With such attention to detail, I wouldn't let it go right at the very end

I concur!

I asked my SM about the silicone colour and he told me it should match the grout/tiles so I gather he will have to fix it...

Yes, definitely, the silicon should match the grout to blend in not to stand out.

Yeah, the feature are the beautiful texture of the tiles rather than the grout...

To be honest, I would prefer a grey one to make it more discreet.

Thanks all. Will definately point out the white silicon issue in the bathroom at PCI next week (or earlier if possible).
