It does put out a fair bit of heat but I think that is noticeable mostly because it's in an enclosed cupboard with minimum clearance. In a laundry room I think it would dissipate fine.

Also did you use plumbing for the condenser drainage? I believe the heat pumps store water?

I have it draining straight into the laundry tub at the moment. Not very elegant but easier than emptying the water tank after every load. I'm going to see if I can find a fitting so I can split the standpipe for draining the washing machine so I can hook both up to the same drain. The draining hose on the dryer is much narrower than the washing machine one.
Just did all the towels in 2 hours. Thrilled. My old dryer needed them split in 2 loads and took 5-6 hours total. Zero dampness on the tiles with the doors to the cupboard slightly ajar.
