You should be able to buy a shorter/replacement hose from Bunnings or a plumbing store. They screw off without any tools. Sorry if you've mentioned it before, as i haven't read through your thread. I'm trying to figure out if i should go with my builder's tiles (Abruzzio) or do them post handover. Apparently the water sprout/mixer had been drawn incorrectly in our plans and sits too low and too close to our vessel basin. The gap is too small to access the water mixer. The water sprout/mixer should really be another 50mm higher (ie close to bottom of the mirror). Refer to photo below: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our current mixer handle is too long. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our SM advises we have a few options: 1. Change to another above counter basin which has lower profile. Howevern this option is probably not desirable as we love the our selection since it's modern and artistic. Our SM said we can choose from any basin from the Reece bathroom range as a replacement (M to cover cost). The alternate basins we would entertain are: A. Omvivo Venice 700mm basin Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ B. Laufen Palomba vessel basin Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ C. AXA H10 oval basin Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Should we stick with our original vessel basin or choose one of the other 3 alternatives? 2. Second option is to replace the sprout/mixer with a smaller profile to allow more gap between it and our original basin. Saw this Teknobili loop cascade mixer set which meets our purpose as the mixer handle is very short and is a very unique design (although it costs $950 ea - ofc M will have to fork out the money). Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The water flows above the sprout similar to below.... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 3. If we still insist on our original vessel basin and option 2 doesn't work then the only option is to break & rip out the mirror, remove the tiles, move the plumbing higher, re-install tiles, install a new mirror...... yes this will delay things and our SM is not keen. Our preference in order are: 1. Option #2 2. Option #2 & #1 3. Option #3 Thoughts?? @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Hi, First of all, thank you to this community for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
