Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building Bayside : Our Glendale 45 384Nov 15, 2018 1:28 pm Drew01 I spent today labouring with the fencer, clearing the line and digging post holes. With any luck handover on Friday, and we've had it confirmed the locks will be broken on Friday so the builders keys will no longer work Anyway keep us posted n send pictures. What tiling are you doing? Alfresco and portico? https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t Re: Building Bayside : Our Glendale 45 385Nov 15, 2018 1:47 pm excited_builders That sounds like what we will be doing as well after handover. You are nearly there....so handover is booked for Friday. What does locks broken mean? Do Metricon change the lock before giving us the final keys....I did not know that? I was going to organize a locksmith to do all that once we know when handover is. Anyway keep us posted n send pictures. What tiling are you doing? Only your specific key will. No need to change the locks. Re: Building Bayside : Our Glendale 45 386Nov 15, 2018 2:59 pm Pics of the only section of fence required for OP. We're getting all of our downstairs, portico and alfresco tiled after handover by Ben from Mr Flooring. Santorini White 600x600 in the main parts of the house (hallway, family, meals). Carpet in the study, dining and rumpus. In the outdoor spaces, Belga Charcoal 600x300 in a textured finish. Technically, you can get handover with a powder room and laundry trough, but our wet areas were all done by Metricon for warranty purposes relating to membranes leaking, should that occur. Not sure if its worth it though, i'd rather waterproof it myself twice over just for peace of mind!
