what was the reason for having the cabinetry done post handover? cost/quality benefits? what else are you doing post handover?
we are engaging contractors to get quotes for some cabinetry, carpet and some flooring, quality and cost are both our concenrs, but i'm not sure where we should draw the line and if its worth the hassle in the end. we don't have contacts in those specific trades so we aren't getting any favours.
The cost of the cabinetry we're doing post handover was exorbitant through Metricon ... Having seen the kitchen, I'm glad we went this way. The bathrooms are a great job though, so I find it inconsistent...
We're also tiling the non-wet areas after handover, and saving about $12k in the process. Similarly for driveways, fences, etc
