Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building Bayside : Our Glendale 45 181May 17, 2018 10:31 pm I've swung by yesterday to meet our site manager. Lovely guy, had a good chat, and let him know the low down with the neighbours, and discussed a few small things we had concerns about. The upstairs floors were in and frames going up while I was there. Didn't get many good photos though. He reckons the roof trusses should be on next Friday! Fascia and guttering was installed yesterday, we're cooking on gas! All of our downstairs windows and external doors have been delivered. One small issue cropped up regarding an air conditioning void, but I've found a solution that should be agreeable for us and meet the requirements for the heating and cooling. Have also decided to move the shower taps back to bring offset under the shower rails, as it will detract from the big feature niches if there's a tap under them Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Building Bayside : Our Glendale 45 183May 26, 2018 8:47 pm Looking awesome Drew! I just read back a few pages and realised that your garage ramp is the same incline as ours, like you due to Melb Water. We will be watching to see how you box yours up as we are a few weeks behind you. Re: Building Bayside : Our Glendale 45 187May 26, 2018 11:59 pm WifeofHunza Going up fast! Melbourne Water won't permit us to import fill across the front of the house. I've got some ideas for the hardscaping, but need a decent photo and start drawing on it to see if it'll work or not. Have you got a build thread yet? Actually after all this time watching and commenting on other threads (4years I think) I have decided no thread for me. Every time I go to start one something else gets delayed or stops dead.... I feel a little jinxed and I am superstitious now. See how I feel in a weeks time when the sub floor and frames start. We now have a roof, most of our downstairs doors and windows are in and our frame has been inspected, with only a couple of small things needing rework. Plumbing piping rough in has been completed, both water and gas, as well as the ducting for the Actron heating and cooling. The Colorbond is all on, and our solar hot water has been installed. Half of the house has been wrapped and the bricks have been delivered, as has a big pile of brickies sand. While I was having a quick look around, the Goop was being installed on the windows and door sills, although the door sills have so much mud on them I can't see them being cleanable. Also noticed a great chunk out of the entry door jam that we'll have to keep an eye out for it getting replaced.
