Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 01, 2015 3:10 pm Was told by Builder that they do not lock taps. Reason being was that discovered some tradies from nearby estate using water and taking sand to mix cement. Site is waiting for bricklayer to commence work, so husband thought it was the bricklayer until they got into their car and drove to the next estate. Worried about excessive water bills. They had to turn the power off while they hooked it all up and they came to ask me if now was a good time. I said sure. They said what about next door? Walked outside and the chippy working on there house next door had plugged his drop saw into our meter box. I said f@*k him! Re: Unauthorised usage of water from other tradies 8Jul 01, 2015 5:30 pm Provided you can catch them in the act, you definitely have the right to tell off those who use your power or water without authority, or if you know which builder they are from, report them to that builder.
