Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 30, 2015 8:09 pm hi, hoping some of you more experienced people can help, our build is progressing well but today we received the progress claim for the fix out. on the invoice it states that this claim covers the completion of internal skirting, architraves, doors, stairs, kitchens and vanities. This claim excludes the installation of stone benchtops, tiling, appliances and driveway. We only met with the site supervisor two days ago and he confirmed that our kitchen is 6 weeks away...Am i crazy or should we be holding off payment until the kitchen cabinets go in? I can understand waiting for the stone but we have no cabinetry installed Any advice is appreciated Thanks Follow our blog, its a work in progress but hopefully shares our adventure https://granddesignskillarney.wordpress.com/ Re: Progress payment query - Rawson Homes 2Jun 30, 2015 8:13 pm Nope not crazy, they have to have completed the majority of the work before they can request payment! Re: Progress payment query - Rawson Homes 3Jul 01, 2015 8:03 pm Yeh that's what I thought. Drive by today and the doors etc aren't on either.... Will definitely gold off paying this one until the kitchen is in Follow our blog, its a work in progress but hopefully shares our adventure https://granddesignskillarney.wordpress.com/ Re: Progress payment query - Rawson Homes 4Jul 01, 2015 10:16 pm Make sure you put in writing to the builder your reasons for non payment.
