Wow, I guess that's a lot of concrete in that castle. Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 23Jul 11, 2015 6:44 am Congratulations on first slab twindad, hopefully the rain last night was the most of it which should be good for the slab and not too much for other part prepped. Not so much the size, but as it's split level with 900mm between the RL's Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 26Jul 11, 2015 12:00 pm Tribe7 Congrats on the first pour twin dad, a photo when you get a chance? 900ml difference between the reduce level isn't to bad at all, how many stairs internally do you require? It's only 5 steps and then the normal 17 or so for the second level. Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 27Jul 12, 2015 10:31 am Wow! Your house is massive! Love the drive in garage at the back! So convenient! My hubby would love that! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 28Jul 12, 2015 11:11 am This house looks impressive, and complicated in design and detail. In doing a triangle block ourselves, you put us to shame. I'm also impressed that you have that much detail in your CAD modelling. It'll be good to see how it takes shape. Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 30Jul 12, 2015 2:31 pm Any internal/external colour selection choices you care to share? Showed hubby and he agreed it's a stunning looking home. Agree with oneJohn on the cad, looks great. I've seen hubby using it when he is working from home and it looks very complicated Will you gate the 5 stair to keep your little poppets off them? How old are you twins? Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 31Jul 12, 2015 4:58 pm Tribe7 Any internal/external colour selection choices you care to share? The boys are 3 1/2 and we have always had stairs so once they got to 2 we ditched the gates. The little nuggets launch off the set where we are now and try to land on each other. Thanks oneJohn, the CAD model is a little over the top (i had to stop myself putting in the joist hangers etc). I wish I had your rendering skills. I've also managed to get the map referencing working so have started taking renders of the different sunlight effects on the house both in summer and winter. The shed at the back is 2.4m higher than the front so unless I get a monster truck it's not really vehicle friendly (and I'd have to drive through the japanese garden and over the outdoor fireplace) . I'll try to get another side render showing the stairs, outdoor fireplace etc. Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 35Jul 12, 2015 8:16 pm twin_dad Building4my3tots Wow! Your house is massive! Looking forwards to your updates then! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 Re: Custom build in Adelaide. 36Jul 12, 2015 8:23 pm Building4my3tots twin_dad Building4my3tots Wow! But none for me I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34698 6 56007 So still no slab and apparently the concreter cancelled. Here come the delays... apparently things haven't recovered quite as much as I thought. I've been told maybe next… 8 32098 |
