Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 29, 2015 7:20 pm Hi All, we are about to start a demolition of our house but our current insurer has advised they don't cover for demolitions and therefore will cancel our building and contents insurance prior to demo. We have confirmed our demo company has insurance coverage for a General & Products Liability Insurance with indemnity for public, products and asbestos liability. Are there any gaps with this approach? Did your existing building insurance cover you for something additional? Is there insurance that owners should take out for demolition in addition to the demolition company? Has anyone been caught short? Any advice welcome.
