How much did it set you back to hire one of those? I have ready started pulling out all the draws and wiped inside and outside! What's big job! Yes, thats the one. We hired ours from Artarmon, but just make sure the branch local to you has one. It was $153 for the day. Our tiler recommended using a 10% vinegar solution, so we did a first run with the vinegar, then did a clean water run afterwards. The scrubber is awesome! Re: KDR with Rawson Homes - The Edge 39 MKI (Sydney) - PCI 525Oct 11, 2016 7:54 pm red15 Where did the tyres come from? I wouldn't expect the cleaners to dispose of them. A bunch of tyres were found under our place when we knocked down and it cost us the better part of $2k to get rid of them. The tyres were dumped whilst Rawson were managing the site. The cleaners work for Rawson, and my supervisor specifically told them on at least two occasions to dispose of them. There are also old terracotta pipes, and tree roots that were here since the first site scrape, so I'm really ticked off with these idiots. Like I said, selectively ignore rubbish.... And... We also had 6 tyres stashed under the old house, which cost us about $300 extra to get rid of. Re: KDR with Rawson Homes - The Edge 39 - HANDOVER 26/9/16 526Oct 11, 2016 7:56 pm We had way more than three, more like 20. I see why you expect rawson to get rid of them, though. Maybe time to do it yourself and send a bill. KDR with Rawson Homes - The Edge 39 - HANDOVER 26/9/16 529Oct 21, 2016 7:53 pm Post handover yard work started today, my brother and I are starting to level the back yard out. The plan is to top dress with organics and turf underlay next week. Turf hopefully lined up for second weekend of November... Fingers crossed. Good fun playing with toys!! I have a question about water pressure and showers. I've tested mine tonight and I'm totally disappointed! It's so low in pressure and so slow to fill a bath! Do you feel the same way? Absolutely gutted about the shower water pressure. That was, until I started experimenting with the fittings. The shower hose/rail system I had installed was a standard caroma mystic which had several limits in the system. 1) The wall hose fitting had several restrictors. To get the hose off the fitting, use a bit of electrical tape to protect the hose nut from any damage when using a spanner to loosen it. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Using a tweezer, pull out all the plastic crap that's stuffed inside. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Put the hose back onto the fitting and see if things improve. 2) the hose diameter is rather small so I swapped the hose with a spare one I had. This didn't really improve things so the standard hose went back on. 3) the shower head had limited spray settings so I tried swapping with a cheap replacement I bought from bunnings. I actually bought the basic shower head so I could wash the dog in the bath, but the dog will now get washed with the caroma mystic head Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The replacement head has much better flow than the multi setting caroma. Now, the best improvement for the basins and bath were to remove the aerators. Simply unscrew the spout Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You will find that the flow is dramatically better without it, but the flow is lumpy and rough. So, carefully with a sharp kitchen knife remove the white screen off the back of the aerator, gently spreading away from the edge. Then, with a Stanley knife, cut away the centre. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Click the screen back on, and put the spout/modified aerator back into the spout. V2 hack-no air, smooth flow; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ With those tips, you will be much happier with you shower experience, and filling the bath, basin, and kitchen sink. Hope that helps Re: KDR with Rawson Homes - The Edge 39 - HANDOVER 26/9/16 536Oct 25, 2016 9:43 am MrsJM Backyard is coming along well! Where did you hire your machinery from? We are gonna have to do the same I think! The 1.5t excavator was from hendo hire in dural. My brother picked it up for me as my wagon wasn't able to tow it. Depending on how much soil you need to move, and whether there is significant compacting I'd probably sway toward a bobcat/ kanga / dingo so you can also move the soil more effectively. Obviously if the ground is heavy compacted, dry clay, like mine, you'll need the hydraulic power of an excavator. Do you operate yourself? I got the kanga diesel from hendo hire in dural. It's 260 per day, plus 60 for the spreader attachment. It's pretty simple to operate. Tank drive, with three controls ; up/down hydraulic, bucket tilt hydralic, and open/close bucket. Drive it for 10 minutes and your a pro Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes.
